Available today, Wacom Technology has announced a new drawing monitor that combines affordability with classic features for a portable studio experience. The new tablet maintains the features found in previous Wacom One tablets, but with a slightly bigger screen and a reasonable price tag.
The Wacom One 14 is a solid, intro-level device that provides users with a monitor drawing surface, a Full HD screen, and a customizable stylus. While it doesn’t pack the features of the Wacom Cintiq line, nor the beefed-up specs of options like the XPPen drawing tablets, this affordable option is great for those looking to dive into digital art.
Wacom One 14 Brings The Key Components of Art To New Artists

Available now on the Wacom website for $299.95, the Wacom One 14 offers everything a new artist needs to get started on digital art. Unlike the screenless Intuos tablets, the Wacom One 14 allows users to draw directly on the screen. This is fantastic for those jumping from traditional art into digital.
The tablet offers 1920×1080 resolution, 14 inches of active drawing space, minimal end depth, and 1096 pressure levels on the customizable Wacom One Standard pen.
The tablet does not have any hot keys built into the interface, which might be a setback for those who would like to customize buttons for quick keys. Wacom does offer an Express Key, but at $100, it might not be in the price bracket for those looking to try this tablet out.
Additionally, this tablet uses a USB-C to USB-C connection cable. Those who do not have a USB-C video card may need to purchase a different connection cable, and those running the tablet off an older laptop may also need to buy the extended power cable that connects to the wall. These cables are not included with the base tablet. The Wacom One 14 also only comes with three replacement nibs, so purchasing extra when buying the tablet is recommended.
The Wacom One 14 offers the basics to artists at a good price, especially for anyone looking for a mixture of affordability and portability with their drawing devices.
