Star Wars: Galactic Racer is officially lining up on the starting grid, with publisher Secret Mode and developer Fuse Games bringing the Outer Rim racing circuit to PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on Oct. 6, 2026.
The upcoming racing game was previously shown during PlayStation’s State of Play in February, where its fast-paced races, masked protagonist, and Episode I: Racer-style energy gave fans an early look at what to expect. Now, Galactic Racer has a firm release date, with pre-orders open across digital Standard and Deluxe Editions, as well as a physical Collector’s Edition. Physical Standard and Deluxe Editions will also be available on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
Star Wars: Galactic Racer Release Date
As mentioned above, Star Wars: Galactic Race will launch for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on October 6, 2026.
In Star Wars: Galactic Racer, players take on the role of Shade, a mysterious pilot trying to prove themselves in the Galactic League. The racing circuit operates out in the Outer Rim, giving the game a rougher, more dangerous corner of the Star Wars galaxy to explore. The campaign will feature rival racers, shifting alliances, and a push to rise through the ranks without relying on the Force or any chosen-one prophecy.
Galactic Racer already looks like a spiritual successor to Star Wars: Episode I: Racer, with high-speed vehicles, heavy crashes, and recognizable Star Wars locations like Jakku. February’s first look also highlighted Shade’s role in the story and teased familiar racers like Sebulba and Ben Quadinaros.
The full game will let players experiment with three vehicle types across landspeeders, speeder bikes, and skim speeders, while also getting behind the controls of podracers. Online multiplayer races will give players a chance to test their builds and driving skills against other pilots, separate from the single-player campaign.
Every Galactic Racer Pre-Order Bonus Explained

The Deluxe Edition is priced at $79.99 / £64.99 / €79.99, with a Deluxe Edition Upgrade planned for launch.

For fans looking to go all-in, the physical Collector’s Edition includes a model of the Kor Sarun: Darc X landspeeder, a Galactic League champion Kestar Bool banner, two pilot patches, a physical art book, a custom slipcover, and a steel case, all packed in Collector’s Edition packaging.
