Back in 2007, the internet was quite a different place. It was full to bursting with free Flash games, which people like me would use to fill the hours between homework and whatever else teenagers did back then.
Now, some of these nostalgic games from the past are making their way into the present. Specifically, beloved classic Flash game Papa’s Pizzeria is about to arrive on Steam in a Deluxe remastered edition that will undeniably deliver some much-needed nostalgia.
Take Your Time, But Please, All Papa’s Games On Steam
Flipline Studios, the team behind the entire Papa’s franchise of restaurant management flash games, shared their plans to deliver Papa’s Pizzeria to Steam via X.
The “deluxe reimagining” includes new ingredients, new customers, and more seasonal flavors. It also adds new features like Daily Specials and – this is very important for our caravan-loving Bonus Action team – a Pizzeria Food Truck!
Basically, it sounds like the team has taken everything we loved about the Papa’s Pizzeria original and given it a spin so we can sink even more hours into crafting the perfect pizzas for our picky customers.
The exact release date hasn’t yet been announced, but we should be serving up pizzas sometime this year.
If you need that Papa’s nostalgia hit immediately, we’ve got good news. Apparently, Papa’s Freezeria has already been reimagined into Papa’s Freezeria Deluxe. and you can grab it on Steam for $5.99 right this minute.
Much like the upcoming Papa’s Pizzeria Deluxe, the frozen version also includes plenty of new characters and ingredients to enjoy. Oh, and yes, there’s a Freezeria food truck. Honestly, the fact that I’m still writing this and not playing this game is shocking.
If you’re familiar with the original games, you know that Flipline created dozens of iterations on the Papa’s restaurant management theme. If you can think of a food, there’s probably a Papa’s game for it. We’ve got Papa’s Wingeria, Papa’s Bakeria, Papa’s Hot Doggeria, and many more.
Some of these games remain available as mobile versions, but frankly, a Steam translation is long overdue. As one commenter puts it on X “take your time. BUT PLEASE, ALL PAPA’S ON STEAM PLEASE.”
