Fans of plants and all things 19th century fell in love with Botany Manor when it launched last year. The first-person game lets players step into the shoes of retired botanist Arabella Green, where you work to complete research to complete her Forgotten Flora book of research.
Upon initial release, Botany Manor was available via Steam, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox consoles. Many gamers fell in love with the soothing yet challenging first-person gameplay, earning it a Very Positive rating on Steam and an 82% rating on Metacritic. Now, after a bit of a wait, gamers who prefer PlayStation consoles will be able to get in on the action.
Botany Manor Moves onto PlayStation This January
The critically acclaimed puzzle game with plants will soon arrive on PlayStation consoles, reaching a new audience of excited cozy gamers. Botany Manor will be available on both the PS4 and PS5 consoles upon its PlayStation release this month.
Publisher Whitethorn Games confirmed the January 28 release date via their social media channels like BlueSky, meaning players have just a few short weeks to wait. The post also includes a PlayStation release trailer featuring some of the beautiful art from the game, including the Herbarium players work to complete.
If being able to use that DualSense controller for first-person plant puzzling fun isn’t enough, there’s a slight bonus to playing the game on PlayStation. Players will be able to use their the touchpad to swipe and flip the Herbarium pages, and will be able to see flower controllers on their controller thanks to those colorful DualSense lights. It may not be anything major, but it’s a nice little touch to bring up the immersion for this first-person game.
It doesn’t look like the game is available to preorder from the PlayStation store just yet, and the official price has not been announced. However, Botany Manor currently sells for $24.99 on Nintendo Switch, Steam, and Xbox, so it will most likely match this pricepoint with the PS4/PS5 release later this month.
Whether you’re playing Botany Manor for the first time or looking to re-experience the story on your favorite console, this PlayStation release is not to be missed.
