We’ve been swamped with cozy and indie game demos all month, but it seems Nintendo is determined to keep the excitement going with their upcoming Nintendo Direct for 2024. Announced by Nintendo of America on X, this showcase promises to balloon our Wishlists to epic proportions once again.

Nintendo Direct 2024: Date and Time

The much-awaited Nintendo Direct is scheduled for June 18, 2024, at 7:00 AM PT. You can check when that is in your time zone here.

Nintendo has packed all the announcements for the second half of 2024 and perhaps early 2025 in roughly 40 minutes. That said, they have stated that there will be no discussion about the Nintendo Switch successor during this presentation.

What to Expect from the Nintendo Direct 2024

Nintendo Direct events are known for their surprises, and this one promises to be no different. Here’s what we’re most looking forward to:

• Metroid Prime 4 updates: We’re expecting substantial updates on the highly anticipated Metroid Prime 4, set for a 2025 release.
• First-Party Game Announcements: We’ll likely see the announcement of another Mario Party and Kirby game. Rumors are also swirling about an F-Zero GX remaster and a Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War remake.
• Third-Party and Indie Games: A few third-party titles might also get an announcement. This includes Fantasian from Square Enix, Watch Dogs for Switch from Ubisoft, and Kena: Bridge of Spirits.
• Surprise Announcements: Nintendo always loves a good surprise. Just because the Nintendo Switch 2 is out of the table doesn’t mean we’re not in for a fun time.
