An exciting announcement by Hasbro and Avalon Hills will have board game enthusiasts ready for adventure. Talisman 5th Edition will be releasing in 2024, along with expansions for both Talisman and HeroQuest.
Talisman is a well-loved board game that has gone through multiple editions since its original release in 1983. Popular with fans of tabletop adventures like Dungeons & Dragons, players embark on a magical journey to defeat a dragon, with each playthrough different than the last.
In a press conference by Avalon Hills, Bonus Action had the opportunity to learn about the changes that will be introduced in Talisman 5th Edition. The game comes alongside news for HeroQuest Jungles of Delthrak and Talisman Alliances: Fate Beckons Board Game.
Talisman 5th Edition Lets Players Roleplay and Collaborate
In Talisman 5th Edition, players can take on one of 12 different characters, using the Adventure Cards to shape their journey around the board. Talisman encourages roleplaying and imagination, with gameplay thriving off the creativity of those picking up the pieces.
Talisman 5th Edition is available for pre-order right now on Amazon and will be available for purchase at participating retail stores on July 1, 2024. The cost of the base game is $59.99 USD.
Additionally, a cooperative expansion for the game, Talisman Alliances: Fate Beckons Board Game, will be released later this year. This expansion will allow players to work together instead of putting them against each other. The fresh take on gameplay will diversify Talisman play sessions, allowing for new stories to unfold. This expansion will be available to pre-order starting June 14, 2024 on Amazon.
Alongside both of these games, players can also add HeroQuest Jungles of Delthrak Quest Pack to their pre-order carts. Available now on Amazon and Hasbro Pulse, the game will cost $44.99 to pre-order and will be available to purchase starting October 1, 2024.
While every detail of these games won’t be available until their release dates, it is clear that tabletop and dungeon crawler fans have plenty to look forward to as we move into the later part of this year.
Whether gamers are looking for a new adventure to embark on, or want to try something new, Talisman and HeroQuest are excellent options and are perfect for parties, family game nights, or just hanging out with friends.
