red dead
I’ve still been playing little else besides Red Dead Redemption 2. We’re near the end of Arthur’s story now. Peace is being made as best it can. We’ve tried to live a good life, the time we’ve been together, the time we’ve had the luxury to choose. The time that’s running out.
Few other games have interested me. The world at large is worrisome, troubling in its idiocy. Rare is the day that passes when no new atrocity begets an unjust explanation. Like Arthur, I find myself quite tired of my surroundings, but unlike him, no quick release is in the cards, at least as far as I know.
A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms is here, and it’s rather enjoyable so far. The Pitt is back, and is equally as excellent as it has always been. Fallout is also halfway through its second season, and is somehow even more steeped in video game lore than the first.
As an aside, the use of the word ‘lore’ in every day conversations by the younger generation is fairly unexpected. Who saw that one coming?
The cart passed through a large archway in the stone and into a circular courtyard where a large fountain split the road in two. On the right they passed a stable attached to a small field in which donkeys, goats, and four horses were grazing peacefully. More scaffolding was visible on this side of the wall, as were men at work upon them, along with men who did not appear to be doing any work at all, the captain noticed. Guards, most likely. He would have to remember to test and see if the young master spotted them once they were back on this ship. There was no time for it now, the cart was coming to a stop, the door to the mansion was already opening, and there was the Count and his party to receive them.
