Two of my all-time favorite things have come together and created what might be one of the best crossovers of all time: TeeTurtle x Avatar: The Last Airbender plushes.
In a partnership between TeeTurtle and Nickelodeon, the company known for extremely soft T-shirts, plush toys, and hip bags has created a line of collectibles that include chibi versions of Aang, Toph, Katara, and Zuko (Sorry Sokka) as well as several different options for Momo and Appa.
I have been a fan of Avatar: The Last Airbender since the first episode aired in 2005. I watched every episode as it dropped new on TV, and have rewatched the show countless times over the past several decades.
Additionally, I own more TeeTurtle t-shirts and plushes than I can count. I had high expectations for this collaboration, and the team at TeeTurtle didn’t just meet them – They blew them right out of the water.

Momo and Appa Are So Soft And Cuddly
One of my biggest pet peeves for Appa plush toys is that they are always covered in that awful fake fur. The kind that mattes up over time and is only soft right after it’s purchased.
TeeTurtle’s extremely soft fabric does away with the hairy Appa issue, instead reimagining Aang’s Flying Bison in a velvety soft pillow plush. Both sides of the reversible plush have the same texture and are perfect for snuggling and cuddling.
Momo is made of the same fabric, coming in a bit smaller than Appa. My four-year-old son is obsessed with them, saying they feel just like little pillows.
These are the perfect Avatar: The Last Airbender toys for fans of any age. They are particularly nice for families with young kids, as they are so nice to hug and touch.
It is also important to note that the reversible option for the plushes doesn’t require zippers or buttons, making it easy for kids to change out. We also discovered that making Appa change faces suddenly is extremely funny to a toddler.
Plushmates Besties Set Is Down One Grumpy Boy
The Plushmates Besties Sets by TeeTurtle reimagine iconic characters as adorable, chibi stuffies. These little keychains can be hooked to backpacks, laptop bags, or purses for some soft companionship.
The Avatar: The Last Airbender set includes Aang, Katara, Toph, and Zuko. Each character has a detailed face, with bright fabric displaying their signature outfits from the animated series.
And get this, they also hold hands.
That’s right, for anyone who needs Aang and Katara sitting side by side on their desk holding hands, that dream can now be realized.
My only sadness with the Plushmates set is the lack of Sokka. The squad isn’t complete without Katara’s ridiculous brother, and I was very sad to see he wasn’t a part of the collection. Without Sokka, it just doesn’t feel like a complete set.
That said, the characters included are all very cute and will delight any fan of the series who picks them up.
Final Score – 9/10
Avatar: The Last Airbender merchandise often ends up in limbo. Despite its popularity as a TV show, its age has hampered quality plushes, toys, and accessories for fans to collect.
TeeTurtle has solved this issue with this collaboration, bringing iconic characters to fans in the form of delightfully soft, squeezable, adorable plushes. My only complaint besides the absence of Sokka is the fact that I can’t get an Appa real-to-size in the silky soft fabric these plushes are made from.
If you are an Avatar: The Last Airbender fan, or a TeeTurtle enthusiast, you need these plushes. You might need multiples. You never know when squeezing a little Appa may be necessary throughout your day.
