When looking at keyboards, I rarely wonder which would be the most portable. However, after working with the ASUS ROG Falchion Ace 75 HE Gaming Keyboard, I can’t imagine traveling anywhere without it. This is more than just a keyboard for professional gamers; it’s a reliable, accurate, beautifully designed option for any typist.
The Falchion Ace 75 HE is a cute little keyboard. At 75% size, it lacks a number pad and tucks the directional keys against the standard key arrangement. I’ve always been wary of these smaller keyboards because of their size, but the Falchion does an amazing job of providing a compact footprint without feeling overly crowded. It boasts some impressive features, such as the Rapid Trigger manual switch on the front of the case and the 8000 Hz polling rate. While it is a wired keyboard, it makes up for the cable in sheer strength.

Another Quality Keyboard From ROG

ROG has been hitting the mark with keyboard designs in recent years. The combination of premium build and switch sensitivity makes the ROG line stand out among brands like Razer and Logitech. The Falchion is no exception. The keyboard has been built in multiple layers, featuring premium metal components that give the keyboard a durable feel and decent weight.
I especially like smaller keyboards with heft, as it prevents them from slipping and sliding around when in use. My keyboards have to hold up to gaming and regular typing, so it is important that the device not be fussy or unstable while working.
To aid in slip prevention and increase comfort, the Falchion Ace 75 HE has pop stands on the bottom of the keyboard. The stands offer two settings when engaged. The higher profile angle is perfect for typing, while the lower profile is better for gaming.

The Falchion also offers the ROG HFX V2 Magnetic Switches, which take very little force to activate and sound like butter when typed on. These are linear switches, so they make a plunky, lower sound than clicky tactile switches. While I am a fan of clacking while I type, the warm sound of the HFX V2 switches is delightful and satisfying, and will be less frustrating to those who record while gaming.
The Flachion also offers a multitool for opening email and controlling music, brilliant RGB backlighting that looks amazing with the white edition of the keyboard, and an insulated travel case that is perfect for anyone who travels to gaming tournaments or for work. It comes with almost everything you need, with the only big bummer being that it isn’t wireless.
Accuracy In a Tiny Package
The Flachion Ace 75 HE sounds lovely, packs well, and looks amazing – but how does it work when gaming? That 8000 Hz polling rate isn’t just a big number. When tackling combat in Where Winds Meet, I immediately noticed a difference. Thanks to the Tap Speed mode, my character didn’t hang on movements as I switched through directional keys, and when I was prepping combos, every keystroke corresponded to immediate reactions from my character in the game.
This is even more noticeable in intense titles like Hades 2, where timing is everything and one wrong move can send you back home. The response rate from the Falchion is immediate and clean, delivering action-to-reaction responses that are almost perfectly synchronized.
It is also amazing to type on. Because the Flachion’s switches don’t require a great deal of force, it registers keystrokes accurately and rarely drops any of my letters as I fly through articles and take notes while working on game guides. Accuracy is important for what I do, and I genuinely love it.
ROG has done a particularly good job in recent years with its switches, and the Flachion Ace 75 HE showcases this with the HFX V2 versatility and accuracy. It’s wonderful to work on, and it feels really nice to keep typing.
The Best Travel Keyboard

The Falchion Ace 75 HE Keyboard has one other impressive trick up its sleeve – it is born to travel. I do a lot of work on the road, typically hunched over a laptop, while I go between events and conferences. However, I’ve never thought to bring a keyboard with me.
This year, I brought the Falchion Ace 75 HE with me to GDC 2026, and it completely changed my workflow. The keyboard comes in a thick, cushioned case that stores all cables and additional items. While the case is bulky, the keyboard flies well due to the lack of a rechargeable battery. Because the Flachion is small, I am able to plop it on my little lap desk and start typing immediately wherever I happen to be parked.
What I love about this is that I don’t have to hunch over the worn-out keyboard on my laptop or sink to the horrible little magnetic keyboard on my tablet. It’s all the comfort of my home PC setup, all the quality of a professional-grade keyboard, and it fits right in my backpack.
If you are a professional gamer or typist who prefers a quality keyboard while working, this is the solution, and it has saved my wrists and sanity while coveing time sensitive topics hundreds of miles from my typical workspace.
Final Score – 9/10
While the ASUS ROG Flachion Ace 75 HE Gaming Keyboard is a bit on the expensive side, what you get for the price is more than worth the investment. The magnetic switches won’t wear out like regular mechanical switches. The carry case ensures your keyboard will travel and store well, and the overall build and quality are top-notch.
This won’t be a good pick for someone who wants a ten-key or wireless functionality, but what you lose in Bluetooth, you gain in accuracy and fine-tuned adjustability.
Asus ROG has been up to many amazing things, and the Falchion Ace 75 HE is another option in a lineup of accessories fit to shine on any gamer’s desktop.
