Investing in accessories can be expensive, especially for Xbox players. With most wireless controllers sitting close to the $100 mark, it can be difficult to justify the cost. Thankfully, PowerA has a line of fantastic options for half the price, and the Advantage+ Night Blossom wired controller is one of the most beautiful releases to date.
The Advantage+ Wired Controller collection doesn’t sport RGB or wireless charging, but this special line includes a special feature also highlighted on premium controllers like the Fusion Pro Wireless: Quick-adjust thumbsticks. This and the faceplate make this a steal for Xbox players on a budget.

PowerA Advantage+ Controllers Mix Quality and Customization

The Night Blossom edition of the Advantage+ line is straightforward quality. There are no trigger adjustments or extra hidden features beyond the analog adjustments and Hall Effect sensors and two programmable buttons on the underside of the controller.
However, the ability to quickly adjust analog height is one of my favorite attributes of premium PowerA controllers. Both analogs can be adjusted independently, with three settings. The base setting is the standard that players will be used to on other controllers. By twisting the analog gently, it can be raised in height twice, allowing players to adjust each to exactly the most comfortable position.
I like mine on the second setting for the left and the highest for the right. It’s perfect for gamers with long fingers or for those who have a need for a bit of an adjustment in how the analog sits against their fingers.
The Night Blossom Collection Is Absolutely Beautiful
Of all the faceplates currently available by PowerA, the Night Blossom has stolen first place. This controller will take your breath away without the need for RGB or any other fancy gimmicks. Instead, the left side of the device is a textured indigo, which then shifts into stunning, glossy flowers in a stunning range of red, orange, and blue on the right.
Of the color options available for the Advantage+, this is the easy winner. For the price range this controller sits at, it is shocking to see something so vibrant and beautiful as an option. I genuinely hope we see more of this style on other controllers in PowerA’s collection. Xbox controllers especially suffer from “gritty” syndrome, and the more delicate option is likely to appeal to a wide audience of cozy gamers.
Final Score – 8.5/10
With a price tag of $43, the Night Blossom Advantage+ Xbox controller is a steal. The sleek design, quality build, and analog adjustment options make it a fantastic choice for gamers looking for a quality controller that won’t break the bank.
I know many players may balk at being wired to their Xbox or PC, but PowerA makes the wired option work with the inclusion of premium features, and I especially like the Advantage+ for PC, where it’s easy to run the cable in a non-obtrusive way. I love not needing to worry about the charge on the controller.
While I do miss the programmable triggers on this controller, the easy-access headphone jack and beautiful appearance make up for the reduced customization options. It’s a lovely controller, and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for something stylish to add to their setup.
