Popular Cards for Competitive TCG Decks
The heat is on in the Pokémon TCG this year as players utilize the power of new Paldea expansions. These Scarlet and Violet decks are packed with intense options like Charizard ex and Chien-Pao ex while also utilizing Giratina VSTAR and the Pokémon GO edition Snorlax from Sword and Shield’s later expansions.
Charizard ex is looking to be a real crowd favorite following its debut in the Obsidian Flames expansion. Though it seems the Shiny version introduced in Paldean Fates remains the preferred option for its stunning Alt Art Rare that depicts a black Charizard in all its Terastallized glory.
The options are incredible for TCG players, and as the 2024 Pokémon World Championships get closer, deck formats and top picks are likely going to continue to shift. It is an exciting year for Pokémon fans – and the Championships won’t be an event to miss.
Where Will The 2025 Pokémon World Championships Be Held
Following the conclusion of the 2024 world championships, it was announced that the 2025 competition will take place in California. At this time, few details for the next championship event are available.
