Tool upgrades in Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar require a mixture of material grinding and leveling. Unfortunately, even with the right upgrades and tools at hand, getting specific materials for the next tier can be difficult. This is the case with Orichalcum.
Orichalcum is one of the rarest minerals you will mine in Grand Bazaar, and it requires a decent number of presets before you can start mining for it. Unlike in older games, where minerals dropped based on a rarity percentage, Grand Bazaar locks new mineral drops behind Hatchet Upgrades. This means you won’t be able to get Orichalcum until you have gotten the Hatchet to a specific level.

How to Mine Orichalcum in Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar
To mine Orichalcum in SoS: Grand Bazaar, players will need to have unlocked the Blue Windmill and upgraded the Hatchet to the Golden Hatchet level. The Golden Hatchet is the third upgrade and will cost:
- x1 Silver Hatchet
- x5 Golden Ore
- x50 Iron Ore
- x4 Sturdy Lumber
Once upgraded, players can start mining the rare, light blue Orichalcum nodes.
How to Find Orichalcum Nodes in SoS: Grand Bazaar
The easiest way to grind Orichalcum ore is by jumping into the hidden area behind the Yellow Windmill using the Glider. Here, there is a good chance that the light blue Orichalcum nodes will spawn twice daily.
The stones will spawn when the day starts, and if mined, will spawn a second time at 5 PM in-game each day.
However, it is important to note, just like other ore spots, that there is no guarantee this ore node will drop Orichalcum. It is a rare drop and takes time to farm.
Currently, there are no other reliable locations to farm Orichalcum daily.

Buying and Selling Orichalcum
Orichalcum can be purchased from Lloyd’s Shop after reaching Bazaar Rank 6 for 7000G. However, only one will be available per Bazaar day, making it a slow grind.
Those looking to sell Orichalcum in Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar can sell it for a base price of 5000G, with the value going up depending on its star rank. However, due to its rarity and crafting uses, it is better to hang onto this mineral, rather than sell it.
