Any good livestock breeder in Fields of Mistria knows how time-consuming going from barn to barn can be. Thankfully, the new Animal Sprite Statue from the March 10, 2025, update has added auto-petting.
Farmers determined to breed every color of animal in Fields of Mistria can quickly become overburdened with the daily tasks of feeding and petting their animals. With a current lack of automation options, there hasn’t been any way to balance the effort and keep a variety of animals on the farm.
Thankfully, the new Animal Sprite Statue is here to assist with the Auto-Pet function. Below is everything you need to unlock and use this new tool.

How to Get The Animal Sprite Statue in Fields of Mistria
To get the Animal Sprite Statue in Fields of Mistria, you will need to learn the Dragon’s Breath spell by releasing the Fire Seal in the mines and finding Caldarus.
Once the spell is learned, go to the strange indent in the wall beside Erroll’s home. This dent in the stone looks like a doorway. Use Dragon’s Breath on the indent to unlock the door.
Go inside and open the chest to obtain a single pre-built Animal Sprite Statue and the crafting recipe to build more.
How to Use the Animal Sprite Statue Auto-Pet
To use the Animal Sprite Statue for Auto-Petting in Fields of Mistria, you will need to place one statue per animal building with a Essence Stone.
Essence Stones of all sizes can be found in the mines, but do wear out over time. Because of this, it can be a costly automation option, though more than worth it.
Once placed and charged up, the statue works without any integration from the player, auto-petting every animal in the building.
How to Craft An Animal Sprite Statue
To craft the Animal Sprite Statue in Fields of Mistria, you will need to have unlocked the Stone Refinery and by Level 20 in yout Crafting Skill. Each new statue costs:
- x10 Refined Stone
- x50 Essence
- x3 Shiny Beads
Once built, it can be placed in any farm building and charged up, just like the original one found in the cave chest.
