Fields of Mistria Farming Guide – All Crops, Seeds, & Farming Tips

If you want to succeed in Fields of Mistria, you’re going to want to be the best farmer you can be. While you may dabble in romance and explore the mines, you’ve been recruited to Mistria first and foremost to renovate the old farm. That means you will need to know how to find, grow, and use the best crops!

Like many farming sims, Fields of Mistria offers different seasonal crops and seeds. You can also forage for different fruits, flowers, and water plants as the seasons change – and even turn them into plantable seeds thanks to the skill tree! Because it can be a lot, we’re here with a full guide to farming to help you out.

Farming Tips & Tricks

Before you can even plant seeds, you’ll need to take care of a few things on the farm. Celine and Hayden provide a helpful tutorial for the basics of how to hoe, plant seeds, and water them. However, a few questions may remain, and we’ve got the answers to a few of the most important ones to help you in your farming endeavors.

How to Get More Farmable Space

First off, you start with a pretty small farmable plot in Fields of Mistria. How do you expand that land so you can grow more crops? Hacking at the ground with the hoe only works in the lighter spots right in front of your house, but don’t worry, you can expand this space.

Buy the shovel from the General Store for 500T. You can use this to dig new spots that can then be plowed with the hoe, ready for planting.

Ship Your Crops to Learn New Recipes

The first time you ship a specific crop, you will often get a letter in the mail teaching you a new recipe with that crop.

So, even if you’re planning to stockpile those Cabbages, ship off at least one as soon as you have them to learn a new recipe for your cooking repertoire. Usually, these letters come from Nora or Errol, depending on the crop.

How to Get Seeds from Wild Crops While Foraging

To gain the ability to harvest seeds from wild plants, players will need to activate the Prepared Picker skill from the farming skill tree at the Dragon Statue on the farm.

We activated this in the second week of spring, but seeds didn’t begin dropping from plants until summer. We are unsure if this is an early access glitch or part of gameplay. This section may be updated with new information.

How to Unlock More Seeds at the General Store

During your first few seasons, only a few crops will be available as seeds from the General Store. However, you’ll be able to unlock more once you complete the in-game quest “Repair the General Store” to upgrade the general store.

For us, this quest unlocked around the middle of Summer, but it depends on how quickly you help Adeline with other town improvement quests.

How to Upgrade the General Store

To complete this quest, you will need to place the below list of items in the Donation Box by the request board:

• x500 Stone
• x300 Wood
• x5 Copper Ingot
• x5 Iron Ingot
• 3,000 Tessarae

Once delivered, talk to Adeline to complete the quest.

The crops that unlock after the upgrade are:
