Instructions
You can’t head to the left yet, so just walk and jump your way to the right until you reach your first shrine. Here, you can save by pushing the left analog stick upward.
Walk past the frail, red bamboos to the right. If you stand on them for a while, they break and you can pick up the Fox Fire below. Save again by the shrine.
Keep heading to the right until you run into Asahi. He offers some tea that unlocks your first Earring Transformation: Equinox Staff.
He also gives you your first quest: Bamboo Bulk-up. To complete it, get 10 Bamboo by breaking crimson red bamboo with your Equinox Staff.
Head to the left now, and look for Bamboo to break. You can also pick up your first Kodama here. Jump on the yellow paper lantern and hit it with your staff to reach the higher platform and pull it out.
Return to Asahi to get a Tea Kettle. While standing on the ground, hold L2 to heal. Now, hit the red bamboo to your right to go through the passage. Meet TO and RI, they’re here to help. Kind of.
Hit the paper lantern spirits in this room to reach the area above. If you climb to the top left corner, you find a second Kodama.
Move to the right and save on the shrine. Here, you can hit the floating blue enemies to reach the Bamboo on the right.
Drop down through the vertical passage with paper lanterns and stick to the right.
When you reach this area, don’t mindlessly kill the blue floating enemies. Instead, use them to gain momentum and reach the Kodama on the upper left.
Keep heading to the right using the paper lantern to your advantage until you find TO and RI again.
Jump to the right to… miserably fall. But deep down, you meet with Asahi again. He has a new quest: Eye of the Beast.
To complete it, we must learn how to break the blue bamboo barrier. So, head to the left and save at the shrine. If you jump and hit mushrooms with square, you pogo upwards.
Pogo upward to reach the platform above and keep heading left. As you stand on the fragile red bamboo, you drop to meet Shimeji, a new friendly face.
Beat Kiri Kiri Bozu
Kiri Kiri Bozu spits the blue floating demons. You can hit them to maintain height and deal damage.
It also charges in a straight, horizontal line at you. You can easily avoid this by either dropping down or jumping up.
Its third move involves plummetting to the bottom of the arena and charging at you. Here, use Shimeji’s green hat at the bottom center to pogo upward.
Rewards: Consume the Tea Kettle to the right to get the Bamboo Bat Earring Transformation and open the black and gold treasure chest to the left to get more Fox Fire.

Instructions
After defeating Kiri Kiri Bozu, Shimeji points out that the armapillo, these tiny blue creatures, have returned.
Hit the armapillo with square, aim with the analog stick, and shoot with circle to break the blue bamboo to the right.
Bring an armapillo to the right. When you reach this area, aim the armapillo to the area above you to uncover a big, red lantern. Smash it repeatedly to get more Fox Fire.
Keep heading to the right with your armapillo buddy and use it to break the blue bamboo barrier next to Asahi.

Instructions
Welcome to the teal Uzumaki Cave. Hop on the mushrooms to reach the higher platforms to the right. Wait for the boulder-like enemy to shoot at you, then grab the projectile by holding circle, and shoot it back to it.
Before exiting to the right, explore the area below. When you stand on the red claws, these lobster-like enemies attack you. Lure them out and, before they deal damage, step aside, and smash them with your staff.
At the very bottom, there are four lobster enemies and one red hostile armadillo. To beat the armadillo, wait until it hits a wall, and then hit it with your staff. You can break two veins of Teal Ore here.
On the bottom right, there’s another Kodama for you to collect. Now, you’re ready to exit through the passage to the right.
When you’re on the other side, just drop down. Here, head to the right to find a shrine to save. Here, you meet with Shimeji again, who gifts you a Chomper Daruma Doll and a Kodama Charcoal.
When you get to the right, it’s time for a challenge. For the first wave, just defeat these three floating blue enemies.
The second wave includes two floating demons and a red armadillo. Defeat the demons first, and use the mushrooms to hop and avoid damage from the armadillo. As soon as it hits a wall, deal damage.
For the last wave, you face two boulder enemies and an armadillo. Deal with the boulder enemies first, grabbing and shooting their projectiles back at them, and leave the armadillo as your final prey.
Exit through the passage on the right. Then, use the yellow floating lantern spirits to climb upward. Here, you find your first Fake-Kodama Cat. If you don’t defeat them in time, they steal your Fox Fire.
Drop back down and head to the right. Past the lobster and armadillo enemies, you find a locked door. You can’t open it yet, so head left.
At the bottom, you can also find a Vermillion Stranger, but you can’t understand her yet. Is there anything you can do?
You can head to the right and enter Shimeji’s tent. He’s in dire need of help and gives you the Armapillo Assembly quest.
How to complete Armapillo Assembly in Bo: Path of the Teal Lotus
To complete Armapillo Assembly, find all four missing Armapillo’s and throw them back to Shimeji’s tent. As a reward, he gives you the Shita Key.
Armapillo 1: GoroGoro
Armapillo 2: Ame
Armapillo 3: Pendula

Instructions
To find the first missing armapillo, head to the right, hop on the mushrooms, and hit the yellow lanterns to reach the platform on the upper left. As you stand here, deal with the boulder enemies.
Hop to the platform above (careful with the spikes!) and drop down to the left to spot the first armapillo. Grab him and throw him against the golden device above you. This opens the door below.
Throw this little fellow down the hole and drop down behind him. This is GoroGoro.

Instructions
To find the next missing armapillo, stand on the fragile red bamboo to the tent’s right. Drop down to the very bottom.
Head to the left and get through a horde of armadillo, boulder, and floating enemies. When you hit a wall, climb above.
On the upper right, you find the next armapillo, grab it and throw it down the hole to your left.
Launch it upward and toward the left until you both reach the tent.

Instructions
Drop down through the hole the fragile red bamboo left behind on the tent’s right. This time, instead of dropping down to the bottom, head through the first passage to the right.
Hop on the mushroom to reach the platform on the upper right.
Drop down and use the mushroom here to reach the floating lantern spirit above.
Drop to the right to find the third armapillo. Launch him toward the blue bamboo barriers to break your way back to the tent.

Instructions
Head back to the area where you found Pendula. Use the yellow paper lantern spirit to reach the higher platform. Then, hop on the mushroom to uncover a new area.
Here, use the paper lantern spirits to reach the armadillo on the higher platform.
Launch him toward the blocked door and chase after him.
Then, as you stand on that platform, grab him and launch him to the platform on the right.
Now, grab him and launch him toward the gold device on the upper left. With the door unlocked, throw him into the passage and chase after him. Throw him to the left to fetch him to Shimeji’s tent.
Visual Reference
Instructions
Use the Shita Key to open the blue door in the room above.
To get to the giant, red lantern in this room, you must grab the falling meteors and use them to reach the platforms above you. This took me longer than I’d like to admit, but if you can’t do it, just come back later when you’ve unlocked other abilities.
Here, you can break the rock on the bottom right to go to the next area.
Then, from the inside out, break the rock blocking the path.
With the path unblocked, grab one of the meteors and throw it at the blue bamboo wall on the right. Keep heading to the right toward another boss fight.
Beat the Particularly Unmanageable Armakillo
Phase 1
The key to beating the Particularly Unmanageable Armakillo lies in staying in the air, whether that is by hopping on mushrooms or grabbing onto the meteors.
In this phase, the Armakillo only charges left and right. When the Armakillo hits a wall, throw a meteor to deal damage. It’s also safe to heal while they’re down.
Phase 2
When you’ve dealt enough damage, the Armakillo gets a new move: It circles the arena at high speed twice before stopping at the top center and bouncing up and down repeatedly.
To avoid this frantic attack, stay in the center either by hopping on mushrooms or holding onto a meteor for dear life while it circles the arena. When the Armakillo stands on the top center, rush to one side or the other.
Rewards: Pink Fox Fire and Eye of the Beast.

Instructions
Exit through the left passage to find Asahi, who gifts you the Lotus Dash Earring Transformation. With R2, you can dash now.
Speak with Dodomeki outside his tent. He asks for your shiny eyes. Even if you say yes, Dodomeki says it was merely a jest. For 50 Fox Fire, he grants you the Prosperity Omamori and an Omamori Strap.
Head all the way up and to the left to return to the Crimson Bamboo Forest, and then to the right to reach the cliff where TO and RI predicted you would fly across it. Guess they were not wrong after all.
Sencho Bridge guide – Bo: Path of the Teal Lotus

Instructions
Speak with Rozu on the other side of the bridge to get the Usagi Scroll. This also unlocks the Initiative Omamori, which increases attack damage when you interrupt a dash with an attack, and the Rozu’s Requiem side quest.
As you arrive at Sencho Bridge, you run into a new type of paper lantern spirit. These narrow paper lanterns rise as you hit them.
Hit the paper lantern spirit to reach the pink candle and hit it five times to unlock the path forward.
Break the branch holding this red pillar and dash away to safety.
Use the paper lantern in the center to hit the pink candles on the upper left, upper right, and on the platform to the right.
Hit the pink candles on the lower left.
Wait for the calamari to shoot a water projectile, hold onto with with circle, and throw it at the fire on the lower left to access the area with the pink candle there.
Stand on the boat in the center and hit the wheel on the right to propel it forward.
When you hit a dead end, grab onto the calamaris water projectile to gain momentum, then jump and dash to the right to hit the yellow paper light.
Reach the next dead end and use the floating medusas to reach the other side of the bridge.
Use the turtle’s enemy’s projectiles to put out the fire to the right.
Hit the paper lantern spirit in the next room to reach two pink candles on the upper left and upper right. Deal with crab enemies by jumping behind their backs.
In the next room, you can save on the upper right. There’s only one pink candle next to the shrine. When you’re ready to leave, break the branch on the right side of the room and dash to the left to avoid damage. Here, hit the pink candle behind the red pillar.
Ride the boat to the bridge on the right. Here, use the calamari’s water projectiles to hit the paper lantern spirit on fire on the right. With it, you can hit both pink candles nearby.
Use the paper lanterns outside this room to the left to exit through the right passage above you.
When Hashimime asks if you think her bridge looks beautiful tonight, feel free to reply with anything you want. She’ll be upset regardless of your choice.
To survive Hashimime’s rush section, start by jumping on the paper lantern spirits to stay in the air and avoid the walls of fire.
Here, hit the pink candle to lift a platform to the right. Then, grab the calamari’s water projectile and throw it at the paper lantern spirit on fire to gain height before jumping across to the right.
In the next area, grab the calamari’s water projectile once again to access the paper lantern spirit on fire. Save to update your respawn checkpoint.
Use the paper lantern spirits and medusas to pogo and keep moving to the right. The waves behind you deal damage, so try not to fall behind.
After a while, Hashimime begins to spawn fire walls, which force you to jump higher or lower to go through them.
When you get to the falling structure, hit the yellow paper lanterns to push forward.
This set of fire walls falls consecutively and quickly. Hit the boat over and over to row to the right.
After the walls of fire section, there’s a second falling structure that crumbles in two parts. Just keep hitting the yellow lanterns to push forward.
Have some tea, tentaihana. A fierce battle is about to unfold.
Beat Hashimime
Phase 1
During this phase, Hashimime has two moves: Shooting blue projectiles at you and bombing the ground with a vertical fireball.
Grab the blue projectiles to gain height and reach the pink candles on her head. As long as you keep dealing damage, you won’t fall. To avoid taking damage from the fireball, dash to another pink candle after being targeted.
Phase 2
Once you destroy both candles on the back head, she lights the two on the front. Now, you must put those out.
The strategy remains the same but beware of one extra move: Fire walls coming from the left and right.
Phase 3
When you put out the front candles, she lights the one on her forehead. In this phase, Hashimime gets two new moves: – Spawns an army of medusas in the platform in the center. I suggest keeping them alive until you need to fill your kettle to heal. – Slams the center platform with a massive fireball. To avoid damage, stand on the sides. This fireball also wipes medusas.
Rewards: Pyro-Kun Daruma, Awakening Ink, and pink Fox Fire.
After conquering this challenging boss battle, exit through the passage to the right to meet a vibrant cast of new characters and reach Sakura City.

To help Mochi, you must clean the infestation in the Burrows. Follow these steps:
Visual Reference
Instructions
Meet with Mochi at the bottom of the Kitsune Borrows to get the Tsuki Dash Earring Transformation. This lets you dash through the red barriers in this area.
Head up and fly past the crawlies on the way.
Then, head to the right and circle downward and to the left past the barriers. Grapple the red paper lanterns and dash to avoid damage from the pink barriers.
In the bottom right, you find a challenging obstacle that asks you to avoid two pink barriers at the bottom, grapple to the upper left, dash past a barrier and then grapple to the upper right to land safely.
Save at the shrine and head inside the Burrows to deal with the bug infestation.
Inside the Burrows, head to the right and drop down. Break the boulder to your left.
Climb the paper lanterns and hit the gold device to remove a barrier above.
Grapple the red paper lanterns here to reach the platform above you.
Here, slash the webbed bug on the left and throw it at the nest on the upper right to destroy it.
Head back to the surface by grappling the red paper lanterns and head to the right. Here’s an easier nest to destroy, just zip the webbed bug to your right and throw it at the next directly to its left.
The last nest is on the bottom right corner of the cave. Hit this golden device to open the passage to the left.
After dealing with the pink lava fiend, grapple to the red paper lantern on the right and then the one above it.
Continue grappling through the red paper lanterns on the left to reach the highest platform.
Slash the webbed bug above you and throw it at the spider web covering the paper lantern to the lower right.
Use the freed paper lantern to reach the golden device on the upper left. Then, slash the webbed bug above you and drop down with it.
Grab it just before it touches the ground in the lowest platform. Here, aim it at the last bug nest to get rid of it.
Meet with Mochi back upstairs to receive the Mochi Mallet Earring Transformation.

In the fields east of Sakura City, speak with Momo to have some tea and receive her request for Crystal Mum Petals.
As you enter Midori Forest, you spot Asahi lying on the ground. He’s lost his will to live, but you’re here to help.
Hit this blue enemy hanging from above to prompt him to move. Though he will, he also shoots three projectiles to the ground, so make sure to dodge them.
Drop down to the platform below to find a skeleton enemy. He only takes damage if you hit his skull. You can either use the yellow paper lantern spirit on the left to gain momentum and then hit him or stand on the edge of the blue bamboo platform on the right and jump to its skull.
Grab the skeleton’s skull and launch it at the blue bamboo wall on the right to open the way.
You can also break the stone on the lower left to find a big red paper lantern you can punch to get a ton of Fox Fire.
Repeat the process: Grab the skull and throw it at the bamboo wall blocking the way above you. Then, pogo on the sprout to reach the higher platform.
Once again, break this final barrier above you. Then, pogo on the sprout here to reach the platform on top.
Use the skull to hit the golden device surrounded by red thorns on the right.
To beat the jumpy fox enemies, wait for them to land on the ground and deal damage.

After speaking with the Monk, jump on the red paper lantern spirits to the left until you reach the fox sitting next to a sack.
Minori explains that, if you hit the sack, a seed will jump up. You can grab and throw this seed into fertile soil to grow a plant that helps you reach higher platforms.
Hit the sack to Minori’s left and throw the seed to the fertile soil next to it.
Climb the plant and pogo on top of it to reach the platform above.
Here, hit the sack and hold onto the seed. Launch it toward the fertile soil to your right and chase after it to make sure it lands in place.
Then, hit the same sack again and launch the seed to the upper right. Before it withers, climb the plant to your right and reach the platform in the upper center to direct it to the fertile soil on the upper left.
Here, punch the big red paper lantern spirit to the right to get Fox Fire. Then, proceed past the blue, hanging enemy on the left.
As you drop down, you find the first Music Sheet.
If you continue your way downward, you find a tea set of barking dogs. Break it to access the black treasure chest behind. Inside, you find the Composure Omamori and a pink Fox Fire.

Circle back to Minori’s location. Use the red paper lantern spirits to reach the area on the right.
Make your way to the right and break the boulder on the bottom to find a seed.
Launch the seed into fertile soil and climb it to reach a shrine on the higher platform. To its right lies a boss fight. One that took me two hours to beat, but I’m sure you can do better.
Four jumpy foxes spawn. They’re fairly easy to deal with if you’re patient and don’t lose your cool. Wait for each fox to land on the floor and land as many hits as you can before they head back up. Repeat until they’re all down.
Rewards: Fox Fire and the second Music Sheet.

After defeating the Skeleton, exit to the right. Here, use the yellow paper lantern spirit to reach the upper platform.
If you head to the left, you find a big red paper lantern you can smash to get Fox Fire.
Continue to the right and circle downward as you hit the yellow paper lanterns. Here, you can head to the left to find a treasure and to the right to save.
To the left, there’s another tea set of barking dog. On the platform above is a Kodama.
Instead of breaking the tea set, pogo the barks until you reach the teapot. Hitting it twice prompts it to steam you upward toward the trail of red paper lanterns.
Hit each red paper lantern spirit to head left and reach a black treasure chest with the Toge-Chan Daruma Doll.
If you drop down and head right, you can find a shrine and the third Music Sheet. Head back to the Monk by sticking to the left path at the bottom.
After collecting all Music Sheets, bring them back to the Monk and he’ll play a tune that cheers up Asahi. As a reward for saving his life, basically, he gives you another Earring Transformation: The Grappling Gun. With R2, Grapple through red paper lanterns, floating blue enemies, Skeletons’ spines, and more.

Instructions
Head to the shrine next to the Skeleton boss fight. Here, jump and grapple the red lantern spirit above.
On the platform on the upper right, you find the Deliberation Omamori. Then, Grapple to the left to find a hidden area with a Kodama.
Head back down and inside the room where you fought the Skeleton boss. Grapple the red paper lantern spirit above you to reach the higher platform.
Keep grappling to the upper left.
While looking out for the thorn hands and thorny environment, continue to grapple left and upward.
After saving at the shrine, head to the right and grapple the fluffy white spirits to reach the platform on the upper left and find another Kodama. There’s another leaf sticking out on the right, but that’s a Fake-Kodama Cat.
Back at the shrine to the left, you can drop down and circle the circuit with thorny obstacles below to find a hidden Fox Fire chest on the lower left.
Grapple your way to the left until you find a sack with seeds. Hit the sack and launch the seed into the fertile soil past the thorny hand.
Then, throw a second seed slightly above the L-shaped platform on the upper left.
Climb the plant to your left to reach the higher platform and pogo the sprout to reach your newly-grown plant.
Grapple to the right and drop down. Here, break the boulder to your left.
Launch a seed into the upper right platform.
You should hear the growth sound before circling back to the upper platform and pogo-ing to the shrine above.
To the right you find Fumie, the Fox Bride, trying to make her way back to the altar. The goal of this section is to annihilate every obstacle so all foxes can make it back.
Break the boulder and defeat (don’t grapple) the hanging blue enemies ahead.
Grapple the vine above this stone block to cause it to drop.
Grapple through the red paper lantern spirits above to navigate the thorny path.
Circle back to the left and defeat the Skeleton enemy. Then, use his skull to break the blue bamboo to the left.
Move to the right. In this room, break the boulder on the lower right to spot a seed sack. Plant a seed in each fertile soil here.
Then, grapple the vine above to cause the stone block to drop.
As a reward for bringing back the Fox Bride, you get a Lotus Seed, unlock an Omamori Shop, and get The Fox Wedding side quest, one that we’ll complete later on in the walkthrough.
You can find Kitsune in the area above, to the right of a Tree of Blessings. He’s not a mandatory boss in the main story and I wouldn’t recommend facing him at this point either, but if you must, try your luck with this nine-tailed fox.
Instead, I recommend you head straight to the left and drop down. Follow the path of thorns to the left until you find a large paper lantern spirit.
After defeating the spirit and collecting the fire, proceed to the next room on the left. Here, grapple upward past the thorns.
Here, you can grapple the paper lantern on the upper left to reach the big one on the upper right. When ready, drop down through the hole.
Deal with these two skeletons and use a skull to break the blue bamboo below you.
Drag the skull to the bottom platform and, once again, break the blue bamboo. Here, you can either jump down this hole to reach the Kitsune Burrows or take a left to find a fast travel point.
Note: You can only enter Kitsune Burrows after you’ve unlocked the Wings Earring Transformation in Megumi Mountain.

Grapple the fluffy balls above you to reach a higher platform and find a Kodama.
Dash past the spikes on the left.
When you reach an open area, hit the snowman on the left and throw its head to the red paper lantern. While frozen, you can hit the paper lantern to reach the upper platform on the left.
Dash past the line of red paper lanterns.
Jump and dash above the spikes and past the red paper lanterns. On the leftmost side, hit the yellow paper lantern and stand on the higher platform.
Hit the snowman and throw its head toward the blue bamboo on the right.
Then, throw the snowman’s head at the red paper lantern on the leftmost side. As soon as it’s frozen, hit it to reach the platform on the upper left.
Make your way to the right. There’s a huge paper lantern above you, but you can’t reach it yet.
With the snowman’s head, break the bamboo wall on the right.
Jump to reach the now unblocked passage. When you get to the end, throw the snowman’s head at the golden device on the wall.
Jump up above the passage with spikes and head to the left.
Inside the cave, you find a new type of enemy: Three green heads spinning around in circles and spitting fire. Lure them to a corner and hit them while they’re stuck.
Keep heading left until you hit a wall. Then, make your way to the right and upwards.
Save at this shrine. To the right lies Asahi. Continue to the path on the upper left once you’re ready.
You can’t kill the white wolves with scythes. Instead, use them to your advantage to reach the higher platform on the left.
When you reach this outpost, enter the Tea Shop to meet Misake and get a side quest, The Infinite Kettle. There’s also an Omamori Shop here.
Carry on to the left and upwards. Don’t kill the ice lady enemy yet. Combine her icicle projectiles and the jumping platform below to reach the yellow paper lantern above you. Then, make your way to the left.
You’ll face a series of combat challenges. In the first one, defeat the ice lady first and then tackle the smaller enemies on the ground.
In the next one, focus on the heads on the ground before tackling the ice ladies above you.
If you’ve saved up your Daruma skill, this is the time to unleash it. Get rid of all those pesky green heads.
Continue your journey to the left to Meet Moro and his two monkeys. Here, you hit a dead end, so it’s time to return.
In this room, grapple the red paper lanterns to follow the path upward to the right.
Here, you meet Toshi, who challenges you to a Sumo Flying Contest. To win, hit all the flying training dummies without touching the ground. As a reward, you get a pink Fox Fire and a Lotus Seed.
Exit this area by climbing the platforms above you and heading to the right. Here, you must hit a snowman, freeze the red paper lantern, and use it to reach the next platform. Repeat this process until you get to the surface.
Inside the Training Grounds, you meet Gyoji, a Kamaitachi who needs your help to find his Gunbai.
Where is Gyoji’s Gunbai in Bo: Path of the Teal Lotus

Instructions
Exit the Training Grounds through the left passage. Drop down and head to Moro, the giant monkey’s, location.
When you reach the area before his cave, head up and grapple the red paper lantern to the left.
Here, you can use Pogo the ice lady to reach the Fake Kodama cat above.
In the room below, there’s another battle challenge. After you conquer this challenge, head to the left to find Gyoji’s Gunbai.
Take it back to Gyoji, but drop by Moro’s cave to get a side quest: Moro’s Missing Monkeys.
Take the Gunbai back to Gyoji in the Training Grounds and complete all three trials.
In the first trial, you must stay inside the ring for longer than the Kabuto. Kick them out as soon as they get in to progress faster than them.
In the second trial, you must do exactly the same, but instead of one ring, you get twice the fun.
Beat The Kabuto Yokozuna
Phase 1
During this phase, Kabuto Yokozuna throws waves of shells at you. You can stand in unaffected areas to avoid damage.
He also rolls like an armadillo before hitting a wall. Avoid the roll stampede by jumping with X.
A third possible attack involves stomping his foot and sending a wave of damage-dealing air your way. Again, you can jump to avoid this.
By far the deadliest move happens when Kabuto takes flight and aims three circle-shaped, flying shurikens at you. They target you, but you can round them up like sheep if you jump above them and go in circles around them.
Phase 2
After you’ve dealt enough damage, Kabuto adds two new moves to his moveset: – Flying and slamming the ground, prompting two wind gusts to charge to his left and right side. You can jump to avoid these. – Detach his arms and throw them to the sides before calling them back. Again, jump when the arms fly to the sides, and then jump again when they return to him.
Reward: Pink Fox Fire, Awakening Ink, Wings Earring Transformation. Now, you can fly with L2.
How to complete Infinite Kettle in Bo: Path of the Teal Lotus
Screenshot by Bonus Action
To start The Infinite Kettle side quest, speak with Misake inside the tea house in Megumi Mountain. You must find four Tea Kettle Fragments scattered around the world. Here’s the solution to every riddle in Bo: Path of the Teal Lotus.
Where the waters seethe beneath the mountain’s peak, shake the earth to reveal what you seek.
Where thorns weave walls, a lone shrine stands, take a leap of faith where danger lands.
Amidst echoing caves and water’s fall, pour tea where the giant stands tall.
From the birth of the lotus we’ve drifted afar, return and ascend to touch a hidden star.

Head to Megumi Mountain and stand in front of Moro. Here, mash the ground to unveil the first Kettle Fragment.

Because these pink barriers block your way, you can’t do much at the moment. Just follow the path downward.
Meet with Mochi at the bottom of the Kitsune Burrows to get the Tsuki Dash Earring Transformation. This lets you dash through the red barriers in this area.
Head up and fly past the crawlies on the way.
Then, head to the right and circle downward and to the left past the barriers. Grapple the red paper lanterns and dash to avoid damage from the pink barriers.
In the bottom right, you find a challenging obstacle that asks you to avoid two pink barriers at the bottom, grapple to the upper left, dash past a barrier, and then grapple to the upper right to land safely.
The last nest is in the bottom right corner of the cave.
Grab it just before it touches the ground on the lowest platform. Here, aim it at the last bug nest to get rid of it.
This unlocks the Mochi Mallet Earring Transformation. Jump and mash the sauna to your left to teleport outside of this room.
Grapple your way to the left and mash this fragile patch of grass here.
I recommend heading to the Ice Caverns now to learn a new Earring Ability before proceeding with this section.
Head to the area left of the shrine. Here, mash the red ground to enter another section of Kitsune Burrows.
Look for a hidden Kodama in the left area. Use your wall climbing skill and dash to get through.
Slash the webbed bug on the right and launch it at the bug nest on the platform below.
Break the boulder on the lower left to open the path.
Deal with the bugs below and break the boulder on the right.
Mash the sauna below to reach the blocked area to the left. Here, break this boulder as well.
Mash the saunas in the center bottom repeatedly to gain momentum. Then, hang onto the wall above the right sauna.
Dash and grapple to the right paper lantern and exit through the right passage.
Here, drop down and mash the sauna to teleport to the one on the right. Keep mashing to gain momentum and, when you’re high enough, dash through the pink barrier on the right.
If you head back up and to the right, you can grapple the dragons to reach a big red paper lantern and another Omamori: Gravitas.
Head back down and to the left. Notice the fragile ground below you. Mash it to descend.
Slash the webbed bug on the right and launch it at the sauna below to break the webs on the lower right.
Repeat this process to break the webs on the upper right.
Now it’s your turn to go through the sauna. Climb to the upper left and break the boulder blocking the way.
Use this webbed bug to break the spider webs on the left and access the Spider Silk here.
Enter the room with a wheel on the right. The goal is to spin the wheel with your mash ability, but you first need to go above it.
Head through the sauna on the lower right. As you teleport to the upper right, dash to the left and mash the left side of the wheel. Repeat this process two more times to unlock the area below you.
Save at the shrine to the right and break the boulder blocking the way.
On your left, launch the webbed bug to the spider web to the left to access the Spider Silk behind it.
Stick to the left to find a three-stage: combat challenge. 1: Defeat two flamethrower crawlies, a blue fly, and a hopping worm. 2. Defeat two blue flies, a red fly, and one pink lava fiend. 3. Defeat three red flies and a mole.
After defeating all enemies, speak with Kitane on the right. She’s the blacksmith of Sakura City we’ve been looking for since the beginning of the game.
To complete Kitane’s Crystals, give Kitane a Vermillion Crystal. You can get them in the Ice Caverns. If you already have it, just speak to her again and she’ll return to the city.
Break the boulder blocking the way upward to proceed.
In the dark room to the shrine’s right, throw the blue projectile at the hanging fire ball to the right. This unlocks the path forward.
Mash the sauna in the room ahead. When you’re in the area to the right, grab the blue projectile and throw it inside the sauna to hit the hanging fireball on the left.
Grapple the red paper lantern above and head to the left. Here, continue to grapple upward, to the left, and then downward to reach the other side of the room.
Break the boulder blocking the way and head a bit to the right. Here, hang onto a blue projectile and throw it at the fireball on the left.
Resume your path upwards and proceed to the right past a blocked sauna.
Mash the fragile soil here and, with the path unblocked, grab the blue projectile and throw it at the fireball on the upper right. This unblocks the way to the sauna you just passed by.
Mash the ground below you again and head to the right and upward to find a Kodama. You can break the boulder to head back to the now-unblocked sauna.
Mash the sauna to teleport to a new area. Here, save at the shrine on the upper right.
In the next room, a pleasant surprise greets you: Iwao, the Fox Groom from The Fox Wedding, is here. The bad news is he’s captive to a spider boss you must defeat.
Beat Jorogumo
Phase 1
Jorogumo begins the fight by spawning two bug nests. Climb the walls and slash the webbed bugs to destroy the nests before too many enemies spawn.
Mash the saunas on the left and side corners to gain momentum before Jorogumo begins to breathe fire on the ground. Now’s a good time to deal damage to her head, but beware of her bite.
Her next move is to spit fire upwards, which then lands on the ground and expands to the left and right sides. I recommend you continue to pogo on her head, dashing to the left or right whenever she’s about to spit upwards.
At this point of the fight, Jorogumo erects four fire barriers from the ground up. Continue to mash the saunas to avoid incoming damage.
Phase 2
When you’ve dealt enough damage, you get to Phase 2 of the boss fight. Most of her moveset remains the same, except she now spits fire all around the arena, and not only on the ground below.
Here, Jorogumo spawns two tiny red dragons at her side. You can grapple this dragon to spawn even more tiny dragons, which you can also grapple to defeat. This is where the x Omamori comes in handy to recover health.
She erects fire barriers from the ground barrier again, but this time, they move to the sides. The only way to avoid these is to continuously mash the saunas until the attack is over.
At this point of the fight, she also protects her head with a web, which you can break by throwing a webbed bug at it.
Rewards: Omamori Strap, pink Fox Fire, and Awakening Ink.
Screenshot by Bonus Action
After defeating Jorogumo, take Iwao to the surface so the web keeping him constrained breaks. Head to the Midori Shrine to attend the celebration and complete The Fox Wedding. As a reward, you get the Kitsune Kifuda, a Kitsune Scroll requesting you to build the Fox’s House, pink Fox Fire, and the Ingenuinity Omamori.

When you reach the bottom, fly past the trail of angry red paper lanterns to reach a huge paper lantern you can mash for fire fox. Here, hit the gold device to open the way below.
Head to the left and, as you stand on this fragile ground, mash it to descend to the ice caverns.
Break the fragile ground below the entity in the nest to reach the palace.
Here, you find Waka and Ushi, but they each run away.
Begin by heading to the left. Hit the umbrella to reach the upper platform.
Dash and hit the umbrellas to keep moving to the left.

Dash and fly over these spiky obstacles to reach the other side.
Jump in between the spikes and fly to the left to avoid taking damage from the spiky wheel.
Here, fly while avoiding the moving spikes. You’re meant to reach the area on the upper right, upper left, and lower right. Don’t forget to hit the yellow skull target in each corner.
There’s a hidden deposit of Vermillion Crystals on the upper right.
With all three targets hit, the door unblocks and you can progress through the lower left.
Fly upward while avoiding the bats from the cat enemies. You can grab the bats and throw them back at the cat to deal damage.
Here, grapple the falling icicles to reach the left side.
As you fly upward and avoid the orange umbrella fiends, look for a secret passage to the right. Here, you can save.
Get through this combat challenge on the right. You should be fine as long as you avoid standing near the spiky wheel and use bats to your advantage.
Continue to the right to meet a Tengu couple, Kiki and Tombo, who are looking to have a child. This assigns you the quest Fragile Egg, which we’ll complete once we’re done with the trials.
Fly back to the left and make your way upward and to the right.
Balance your wings and free fall to get past these two spiky obstacles.
You can mash the fragile ground here to reach the big, red paper lantern. Fly back up to resume your path.
Deal with the cat enemy on the bottom right before proceeding upward through the spiky wheel obstacles.
The goal is to head upward and to the left. Here, hit the yellow target, save at the shrine, and then exit through the passage above you.
Here, you find Ushi. You can’t catch him just yet. First, you must defeat Soku in a duel.
Beat Tengu Solo
This is the first of three Tengu battle challenges. Since it’s against just one Tengu, it’s meant to be the easiest one. Here’s a breakdown of Soku’s moveset:
– Soku sticks a trident in the ground, which in turn launches three feathers to the left and right sides, each increasing in size. I avoided this attack by dashing to one side to avoid the trident and then jumping repeatedly to avoid the feathers. – Soku stands on the right side of the platform and unleashes a gust of wind that pushes you toward the spikes at the end of the platform. Just dash forward and deal damage. – Soku stands on the right side of the platform and throws feathers at you. Jump to avoid them.
– Soku stands on one side of the platform and launches toward you. Jump to avoid damage.
Rewards: Lotus Seed, Feather Key, and Fox Fire.
After this boss fight, head to the right and break Ushi free to unlock the Ice Picks Earring Transformations. You can now hold X to Wall Jump and circle to Wall Roll. At this point, Ushi heads back with Moro in Megumi Mountain, but you still need to find Waka and complete the other half of The Trial of the Tengu.

Dash past the spikes here and grab onto the wall with the left analog stick. You can ride the wall with circle to reach the top.
Stand still as you slide down the breaking wall of ice and dash at the very last minute to avoid taking damage from the spikes.
Here, instead of riding the wall with circle, climb with the analog stick and jump to the opposite side with X. Repeat this process until you reach the top.
After smashing the red paper lantern to get Fox Fire, mash the fragile ground.
Speak with Ko and mash the fragile ground below the nestled creature to head back to the palace. Place the Feather Key. Now, it’s time to head to the right.
Dash to the right and wall ride the breaking ice wall to go upwards. Repeat this process with the ice wall in front of you, and then hit the umbrella to land on the platform on the left.
You can ride the wall to reach the big red paper lantern above you.
Rush to the right to avoid being crushed to death, basically.
Wall ride the breaking ice wall upward and grapple to the platform on the left.
Wall ride the first wall with a trident. When you’re at the top, dash to the left.
When you reach the umbrellas, hit each one to move to the right until you reach the ice wall.
Hang onto the solid wall on the right and ride it upward. Here, start dashing to the left and grabbing onto the walls to avoid falling.
Here, stand on top of this platform at the center of the room. Then, slide on the wall to the left.
As you reach the bottom portion of the wall, dash and fly to reach the leftmost wall.
Grapple to the left area past the spikes and wall ride the wall on the left to reach the area above.
Avoid the moving spike obstacle as you circle back to the bottom left area.
Then, grapple your way past this second spiky area.
Here, hop from one icy wall to the next with X to reach the top.
When the wheel reaches this angle, grapple to get to the other side without taking damage.
Repeat the process here. Stand on the center of the first wheel until it’s safe to proceed to the next one.
Rush past the first two spiky obstacles. Then, stand on the bottom right corner, jump to the wall on the left, and immediately wall ride to avoid damage.
Here, wall ride and dash when the spikes are far away from you.
Grapple through this spiky wheel just like you did before.
Dash past these spikes one at a time.
There’s a secret shrine to the right here. Continue to the right to find a combat challenge. – First, defeat three umbrella enemies. Lure them to the platform at the center to beat them. – The second challenge involves two cat enemies and two regular enemies on the ground. Target the bats at the ice floor and then the regular enemies, and then focus on the cat enemies above.
Continue to the right to find a volcano, who, upon interaction, drops a Fragile Egg.
To complete Fragile Egg in Bo: Path of the Teal Lotus, you must pick up the egg in the East Trial section and bring it to the Tengu couple in the West trial section without taking damage. If you’re hit by an obstacle or enemy, the Fragile Egg breaks.
In the room next to the volcano, you can find a Vermillion Stranger fast travel point.
Back on the trial section, hit the umbrellas to reach the wall on the left. Wall ride it past the spiky wheel to avoid damage.
Walk through the wall on the left here to spot a Kodama.
Grapple the wheel to get to the other side. Then, hit the umbrellas to reach the wall on the right.
Ride the wall upwards and dash it to the left. Keep hitting the umbrellas to reach the platform above you.
Mash the ground here to find a big red paper lantern to smash.
Here, jump on the icy floor and then dash to the wall, which you should immediately wall ride to avoid damage.
As the spiky obstacle obstructs the fluffy spirit, grapple upward to reach the top.
In this section, you must hang onto the wall, slide to the very bottom, and wait for a snowflake to drop down to your level. Then, grapple the snowflake to hang onto the next wall.
Here, dash to the rightmost corner of the room and jump upward to avoid damage. Then, ride the wall on the right upward to proceed.
Ride the wall on the right upward. Then, jump and grapple the first wheel to the left.
Here, save at the shrine and proceed to the Tengu Duo boss battle against Soku and Koku.
Beat Tengu Duo
In this second battle challenge, the Tengu complement each other moves to make the battle more challenging.
There aren’t any new moves, but the Tengu will move together to make each attack deadlier. That’s why it should be your top priority to take one of the two down. As you deplete their health, their moves become sloppy and uncoordinated, which lets you dominate this challenge.
Rewards: Omamori Strap, Feather Key, and Awakening Ink.
Place this new Feather Key at the altar to enter the Palace of the Tengu and face off against The Tengu Trio.
Beat Tengu Trio
In this last battle challenge, Daitengu joins the battle.
While the Tengu Duo stick their tridents on the ground, Daitengu spawns four feathers around him, which later target you. Continue to jump and dash to avoid damage here.
When Tengu Duo charges from each side, Daitengu targets you from above, in a diagonal line. Again, jumping and dashing timely is the way to avoid damage.
When Tengu Duo unleashes a gust of wind and feather projectiles from the right side, Daitengu targets you from above. Jump to avoid the feathers and, as Daitengu is about to drop down on you, dash. Watch out for the consecutive damage splash.
Once you take the two Tengu down, Daitengu unleashes icicles from above and charges at you more frequently. So stay sharp, especially in the last few minutes of the boss battle.
Rewards: Fox Fire and Serenity Omamori.

Speak with Taro and Goro again to gain entry to the Imperial Castle.

When you reach the left side, hit the red crystal at the base of the dog platform and hang onto its right-side wall to avoid damage.
Beat Asahi
It’s time to face your master. The puzzles in the chase against Asahi aren’t particularly hard, but because he’s always targetting you with that teal laser key, you’re bound to die once or twice. Maybe 30 times is more like it.
The best advice I can give you is to work on your speed. As soon as you catch up with him and land a couple of hits, he flies away and the segment is completed.
Rewards: Three Fox Fire.
Beat Sakura Shogun
During this first phase, Sakura Shogun has a couple of movesets you should simply avoid until she takes you to phase two. First, she moves from left to right waving her sword. You can dodge this by jumping over her. She can also charge directly at you, or command her swords to charge at you. You can also dodge this move by jumping over her or the swords. When Sakura levitates and nails several swords on the ground, try to move to a safe gap in between them to avoid taking damage.
After repeating this moveset twice, she spawns a red eye on the full moon behind this arena and teleports you to Kitsune Burrows.
Phase 2
In Kitsune Burrows, Sakura Shogun clones herself. You can easily deal damage to all of them here by grappling to the red paper lanterns.
To avoid taking damage from the spinning laser beam, mash the saunas repeatedly.
Sakura also borrows the spinning heads’ move from the masked enemy in the Imperial Castle. Grapple to the heads and then defeat them to start dealing damage to Sakura Shogun.
When Sakura targets you with a bunch of tiny blue balls, use the saunas to your advantage.
She repeats this process twice or thrice before teleporting you to the Imperial Castle. Back to the phase 1 moveset.
Phase 3
For the third phase, Sakura takes you to the Ice Caverns.
Her moveset is almost identical to that of phase 2, but with a few improvements:
– Cloned versions now shoot spheres at you. – Icicles are always falling from the sky. – The rotating laser attack forces you to hide behind shattering ice walls, since there are no saunas to mash.
After one or two rounds, she takes you back to the Imperial Castle.
Phase 4
In Megumi Mountain, Sakura Shogun follows the same moveset, but faster. She also gets an extra laser and more floating heads around her. You, on the other hand, get less platforms to hide.
Hang in there, tiny lotus, you’ve got this.
When you’re done, grapple each of Sakura’s extremities and deal one final blow.
Interact with the sunflower at the center of the arena to ascend.

Instructions
After the boss fight, interact with the sunflower in the center of the arena.
In this heaven-like area called the Celestial Realm, you can hug your pet friend on the right.
Then, hit the pink ball tied to the hammer to spawn a series of devices you can grapple to reach the upper platform on the left. You can speak to Momo here.
Fly over the propelling devices on the left.
When you reach the top, board one of the origami birds to head to the right.
Have a word with Toshi and grapple each spinner to his right to spawn more devices to grapple above.
Ride the orgami bird above you to head to the left. There, speak with Ko and Kirei.
Grapple the leftmost wall to find Rozu.
When you’re ready, interact with the device on the center of the altar to roll the credits. Way to go, tiny lotus!

Cande’s calling in life is to annoy NPCS, smash virtual pottery, and complete every side quest available in RPGs. Her passion for games dates to 2006, when she mounted a Chocobo for the first time, but she has been writing professionally for the past four years. Under Nintendo and Square Enix’s chokehold, she willingly pours hours upon hours into reaching 100% completion in the longest roleplaying games ever made. But hey, who needs fresh air and sunlight when you can just live in Ivalice?

3 new chests were added in an update next to the imperial castle saves btw
No problem. they’re literally next to the “secret rooms” in the castle, or in one case on top of the room next to it.
you can see them with the secret reveal omamori.
Hi! Thanks for reaching out. Nothing has been confirmed yet, but the Amaterasu statue offering tables are tied to Bo’s lore. This area might also be a setup for future DLC.
Since it’s not officially part of the game yet, it won’t count towards your progression. Are you certain there aren’t any other quests or collectibles you might have missed for that last 6%?
