I have been the proud owner of a Nintendo Switch 2 for several months. While I’ve loved the bigger screen, better performance, and overall improved build, the Switch 2 has a struggle that is typical of Nintendo products: battery life issues. Thankfully, Belkin has created a solution that is durable, practical, and stylish.
The Nintendo Switch 2 charging case by Belkin is a gorgeous accessory for fans who want to look snazzy while keeping their pricy console secure. The case is hard foam with a fabric cover, and comes in several colors. However, the shining addition to this case is the hidden portable battery that allows gamers to charge on the go. It’s a simple design that makes a world of difference while playing the Switch 2 on the go.

The Power of Recharging on the Go

When I first started using my Nintendo Switch 2 on the go, I realized that battery life was going to be a big issue. Like with the first model of the original Nintendo Switch, the battery drains rapidly when playing most games, making it hard to actually take advantage of the portability of the console.
However, Belkin has offered a solution by tucking a powerful portable battery under the area that holds the console. The battery cable can be threaded up and under the Switch 2, allowing players to charge while they are on the move.
Additionally, the case has a pocket designed to hold Joy-Con straps and a space to hold up to 12 additional game cartridges. These utility spaces allow players to keep everything they need in one place.
I do wish that the pouch area were zippered, as it isn’t uncommon for things to wiggle free while in motion, but it is otherwise a very secure option for travel with a Nintendo Switch console.
A Stunning Design With One Major Flaw

The Belkin Switch 2 charging case is a beautiful option for storing the console. The hard shell of the case ensures solid protection while traveling between locations. The inside of the case is soft and luxurious, offering a barrier to prevent scratches or bumps.
My biggest frustration with the case is that the outside zipper is plastic. At this price bracket, a metal zipper would have been ideal. When zipping, it can be quite tight at the corners, and sometimes needs to be unzipped in order to close correctly.
The colors of the case are fantastic, however, offering a more mature style that will appeal to older gamers. While the Pikachu and Animal Crossing cases found at Target do in a pinch, it is fun to have something that isn’t branded but still looks nice.
I am particularly fond of the sage green option, which looks beautiful when paired with bags or just sitting on a table. It’s a premium look that will have stylish fans feeling snazzy.
Belkin Switch 2 Carrying Case Charger Can Run Hot
One thing to note when using this case is that the battery can run hot when charging the switch up from a low percentage. Unfortunately, this means that the shell itself can get quite warm if left zipped.
Because of this, we recommend keeping the case open when charging if possible. This will prevent the console or battery from overheating.
It is also important to keep the battery charged, as one battery can hold about two and a half full console charges. If the battery is only at 40%, it likely won’t charge the console more than once.
Final Score – 8/10
The Belkin Nintendo Switch 2 charging case is a wonder and a must-have accessory for the new console. The way that the inside of the case perfectly fits the battery and the Switch 2 is beyond impressive, and the clean, sleek look makes all other options look much less enjoyable.
Despite this, the case isn’t without its flaws. Don’t pull too hard on the zipper, and be sure to keep the battery ventilated when possible to prevent overheating.
Otherwise, the Belkin Nintendo Switch 2 charging case is a fantastic option for keeping your console safe while offering a mature, personalized flair to each one.
