EA has revealed two cute, crafty, and kind of cozy upcoming Kits for The Sims 4. They are the Artist Studio Kit and Storybook Nursery Kit, each of which enhances the game by giving you a way to decorate two of the most important rooms for any Sim in every house: The creative zone, and the nurturing space.
Nurture creativity in all its forms

The Artist Studio Kit adds everything you’d expect to find in a slightly messy yet emotionally and creatively freeing room. From a basic easel and paint-strewn ladder topped with various reference books, which we also have scattered around our houses, to faded furniture and curated collages of past work, it’s all in there.
The Storybook Nursery Kit is also about nurturing creativity, just in a different form. The items it adds allow you to create some of the most stunning nurseries I’ve ever seen in the series. Proper princess cribs, lush rocking chairs, a gorgeous changing table, and a playmat make life as entertaining as possible for the really squishy babies.

Both Kits were created in collaboration with Sixam. The fan site hosts dozens of player-made rooms, buildings, and even custom items. It’s sponsored by EA, so it’s all above board, and there are quite a few items worth checking out over there while you wait for these Kits.
Ever since I first started playing The Sims over two decades ago, I’ve found comfort in the way the franchise makes it possible to live out a complete fantasy life. While that fantasy can be off the walls, seeing your Sims live the life of billionaires thanks to helpful cheat codes while making the spaces I ultimately want for my own house brings me so much more joy.
My daughter is incredibly creative and loves to draw and paint, and my wife would never admit it, but she gets a kick out of it too. Those are the types of stories that can evolve in a Sim family while you play The Sims 4, and the Artist Studio Kit enables you to put together a space for these characters to express themselves. I can’t wait to see what the fan base does with them.
Both Kits will be released on September 19, 2024, on PC through the EA App, Steam, EA Origin, and Epic Game Store, as well as on PS4, Xbox One, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. Wherever you play The Sims 4, you can pick these up.
