PowerA Partners With Bandai Namco to Celebrate Pac-Man’s 45th Anniversary

It doesn’t matter if you are crushing matches in Marvel Rivals, planting potatoes in the newest cozy, or only play video games every once in a blue moon, most of us know the iconic yellow gobbler Pac-Man. To celebrate 45 years of dot munching, PowerA and Bandai Namco have come together for a particularly special Nintendo Switch and Xbox Collaboration.

PowerA has nailed it with a series of stunning controllers over the past twelve months, from the OPS V3 Pro PC controller to ghost Lumectra RGB backlighting, there has been no shortage of amazing accessories to grab.

Now, PowerA has taken the Lumectra RGB and applied it to Nintendo Switch Xbox controllers for a Pac-Man collaboration that will turn your accessories into a glowing arcade nostalgia.

“High Quality” Controllers Are Coming

While there haven’t been any full reveals for that controllers as of the collaboration announcement, Bandai Namco has stated that “, fans can expect collectible, high-quality designs that honor the classic character’s timeless appeal.” It also appears that Ghost stickers will be a part of customizing the appearance of the controllers, though not much has been offered as to how this will work.

Early product shots show off classic Pac-Man style lit up in PowerA’s RGB, with the colors standing out vividly against the black of the accessories.

It is unclear at this time if the Pac-Man series will include the highly-customizable Pro controllers for Xbox, but it does seem like fans of the franchise are in for a treat when it comes to overall design, color, and style.

The RGB backlight is perfect for Pac-Man, giving each teaser image a retro look that is vibrant and crisp. While it could be a few months before this collaboration is up for sale, it is one to look out for, and definitely worth grabbing a controller if you are a die-hard Pac-Man fan looking for a top-quality option to make your gaming setup shine.
