Super Mario Galaxy Movie Trailer Will Be Released On November 12
As announced by the official Nintendo of America Twitter account, the upcoming Nintendo Direct can be viewed live on YouTube or on the Nintendo Today! app.
As its title suggests, The Super Mario Galaxy Movie will be partly based on the 2007 Nintendo Wii platformer Super Mario Galaxy, which saw Mario and company explore colorful worlds in outer space to once again stop the evil Bowser. Not much else is known about the film’s plot at this time. It is considered by many to be one of the best Mario games to date.
Most of the first Mario movie’s voice cast are returning for The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, such as Chris Pratt as Mario, Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach, Charlie Day as Luigi, Jack Black as Bowser, Keegan-Michael Key as Toad, and Kevin Michael Richardson as Kamek.
The post-credits scene for The Super Mario Bros. Movie hinted that Mario’s faithful dinosaur mount Yoshi will make his animated big-screen debut in The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, with his iconic egg making a brief appearance. More recently, a leaked Pillsbury cookie box seems to have revealed Yoshi’s movie design.
Fans might get to see the lovable green dino in action, along with Mario and the rest of the citizens of the Mushroom Kingdom, when the movie’s first full trailer goes live this Wednesday.
