My Time at Evershine‘s Kickstarter campaign has become an instant success. After launching early on September 25, 2024, the game quickly gained traction and hit its initial pledge goal of $200,000 in 35 minutes. But that’s nothing. At the time of writing, less than 24 hours after opening to the public, the campaign sits comfortably over $1 million with 28 days still to go.
Fans have grown to adore developer Pathea’s cozy life sim series, but My Time at Evershine is easily the most ambitious. It branches out into an epic narrative with RPG elements while maintaining all the life sim and cozy farming that made My Time at Portia and My Time at Sandrock so enjoyable. If you can afford it, this is a project worth backing a high tier on for rewards you’re going to gaze at lovingly for years.
Multiple Stretch Goals Will Add More Content to My Time at Evershine
With My Time at Evershine blowing by its initial goal so quickly and onto such an impressive amount raised, a tonne of its stretch goals have already been unlocked. This is great news for anyone who backs from now on because they’ll benefit from all of the following. Note that this list will almost certainly continue to grow exponentially in the first and last week of this Kickstarter campaign.
- $200,000 – Kickstarter Backer T-Shirt
- $250,000 – Subvert story progression and use the new Flirting mechanic to boost relationships with NPCs.
- $300,000 – A bathtub for you and NPCs to relax, recharge, and gain buffs in.
- $400,000 – Players can vote on a new romance interaction for core romance options in the game. I don’t know exactly what the limits on this interaction are, but my guess is they’d go as far as the bedroom door and leave the rest to your imagination. This is a cozy game after all.
- $500,000 – Players get to vote on a visiting character from My Time at Portia or My Time at Sandrock. This character will have their own storyline in My Time at Evershine and act as a nice throwback to previous titles.
- $600,000 – Characters can swim in water and explore every single inch of the world.
- $700,000 – A Hot Springs Play Date for you and a romancable character. This is where things can get intimate, apparently.
- $800,000 – A new special pet that players can send their designs for to Pathea, and the winner will be added right into the game.
- $900,000 – Pyjamas for romanceable characters so you can really get that full relationship experience from the hot initial honeymoon period all the way through to the cozier years where all you both care about is reading and drinking tea before passing out in bed.
- $1 million – Players get to design photo poses for 8 core strategy characters, for a total of 80.

There are still at least four stretch goals for fans to hit, which seems pretty achievable. The top one comes at $1.7 million, which unlocks one additional romancable NPC. I think that reward alone is enough to get enough pledges, so Pathea needs to dream up something else for $2 million.
There really are some phenomenal rewards on offer for pledges. The one I’m eyeing up because I’m a sucker for artbooks, is the Elegant Wedding and Town Upgrade Set.
However, you can go as far as pledging $10,000 to become a recruitable NPC. Don’t think of this as a crazy pledge because of the two available; one is already gone at the time of writing.
I will never cease to be amazed by how far cozy fans will go to support games in the genre. Of course, we can’t judge how good a game My Time at Evershine is until it’s been released, but it’s certainly already got a loyal fan base.
