If you love creature collection games but could do without all the battling, the upcoming cozy game Critter Café might have a solution.
In this game, you find and adopt cute critters who come help you run a cafe in a quaint little village. It’s full of lush landscapes, exploration, and of course, cafe management with your new friends. And now, we finally have a release date to look forward to! Even better, it’s this year!
Critter Café Launches November 26 On Steam & Nintendo Switch
The team behind Critter Café shared the official release date via a post on X, which also includes a shiny new trailer to get us excited.
Critter Café will launch simultaneously for PC (via Steam) and Nintendo Switch on November 26, 2024. That means no extra wait for cozy fans who prefer a Switch handheld experience.
This game has been on some of our wishlists here at Bonus Action for a while, and we’re thrilled to finally have a date to mark in our calendars. Especially one that’s so soon!
Critter Café blends creature collecting, sending you on adventures to rescue and adopt tiny pals, with cafe management. Rather than send your new friends to the battlefield, you’ll have them help out in your cafe. Sort of like Pokemon meets Diner Dash, with adorable and unique creature art to capture our hearts.
It looks like there will be plenty to explore, with portals sending us into other worlds to find new critters. And do I detect some puzzle elements in that release date trailer?
In the latest trailer, players get a sneak peek at all of the customization options in the game. From changing up your character’s appearance to remodeling the cafe, it looks like there are plenty of ways to infuse your personal style into your game.
We also get to see a few of the adorable critters themselves, both in the wild where we first meet them, and helping out in the Critter Café.
If this cozy game sounds up your alley, you can wishlist it on Steam for a reminder when the game goes live on November 26.
