With the holidays just around the corner, families are looking for stocking stuffers and exciting activities to do together as the weather gets cold. Thankfully, a new set of coloring books for Dungeons & Dragons and Doctor Who provides both for fans of sci-fi and fantasy.
Published by Ten Speed Press, each coloring book offers beautiful images of iconic places, people, and monsters from each series. The Dungeons & Dragons coloring book is particularly striking thanks to the beautiful renditions of different dragons.
The Dungeons & Dragons Official Coloring Book Is a Fiery Delight

The Dungeons & Dragons: Dragons of the Realms coloring book offers fans of the tabletop game 80 detailed pages of the most intimidating beasts parties will go up against. Priced at $17.99, the collection of coloring sheets is one of the most dramatic and beautiful I’ve seen in a themed coloring book.
The images of the dragons are crisp and clean, with line weight that creates depth as color is added to the page. This is not a book for younger artists, as it’s fairly complex and could be overwhelming. However, for teens and adult fans of D&D, it will offer hours of creative fun perfect for the chilly season.
I particularly loved the dragons on landscaped backgrounds, and how every element of each page feels intentional and carefully organized. The only downside to this book is that a few of the people who star alongside the dragons do sometimes look a bit funny, thanks to the way the book is lined.
The Doctor Who Official Coloring Book Celebrates Sci-Fi Monsters

It doesn’t matter who your favorite Doctor is; the Doctor Who Official Coloring Book has a little bit of thrilling fun for every fan. Illustrated by Mike Collins, the book is filled with 45 fully original pieces of art that fans of the series can add their personal flair to. There are a total of 96 pages to color, priced at $17.99.
This coloring book is perfect for Doctor Who fans with a love for the monsters and oddities that cause trouble throughout the series. Sharp images of Daleks, Cybermen, and Weeping Angels are scattered between iconic scenes from different Doctors.
Among sheets featuring the Tardis and Sonic Screwdrivers from different Doctors, there are also some lovely snapshot illustrations of older Doctors that aren’t frequently featured in newer collections. This makes it a particularly nice coloring book option for long-time fans of the series.
Final Score – 8/10
Both the Doctor Who Official Coloring Book and the Dungeons & Dragons: Dragons of the Realms Coloring Book are amazing, detailed, high-quality options for those looking to expand their themed coloring book collections.
The combination of high-quality paper, excellent artwork, and thoughtful design will offer artists hours of fun, perfect for holiday breaks or just relaxing in the evening.
We recommend these as gifts for fans above the age of 10, or for anyone looking to expand their creative library.
