Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar doesn’t offer much in the way of farm customization. In fact, compared to other games that have released in the series, Grand Bazaar is fairly rigid in its building upgrades and placements. However, one critical additional building players will need to get is the second barn.

The first barn only holds a total of eight animals. Because the game incentivizes breeding for color variations and offers a selection of livestock to raise, this limited space quickly becomes a problem for players. Thankfully, the second barn adds an additional twelve livestock slots, but it won’t be accessible right away.

Below is everything you need to know to unlock the second barn in Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar.

To unlock the second barn in Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar, you will need to unlock Garon’s Construction shop at the Bazaar by reaching Bazaar Rank 3 and then completing his quest to open his shop.

The quest is “Garon Aims to Set Up Shop” and requires players to own four animals.

After unlocking Garon’s Shop, you will need to purchase the Pasture Expansion from Wilbur’s Shop for 50,000 G. This will create the room needed to add the barn.

Once the pasture is expanded, you will then need to reach Bazaar Rank 5 to unlock the second barn project at Garon’s Construction. Purchase the second barn project for 100,000G, and Garon will begin working on it the next day. It will take three in-game days for the project to be completed.

The second barn is perfect for breeding projects, allowing players to have more animals that can continue to produce while they breed specific options. The smaller barn is best for keeping animals currently being bred, as it allows players to keep track of who they are working with.

Like with the first barn, cats and dogs living on the farm will automatically move the chickens and livestock in and out as long as they are trained. This makes management of the animals much easier, especially with the increased number that the second barn in Grand Bazaar allows for.
