There are many important mechanics to manage while playing Magical Princess, and one of the earliest and most critical is baking. The baking skill is one of the first to unlock on the EX Skill charts if you are nurturing your daughter’s bond. However, to use the skill, you are going to need flour, and that can be expensive to get ahold of early in the game.
One of the hardest things to juggle in the first few hours of Magical Princess is Stress. The Stress stat grows as Alice takes on difficult tasks like studying and working. If players are sneaking out at night or are putting a lot of parental pressure on Alice, that Stress stat can increase quickly.
To keep things under control, you’ll need a few rolls in your bag. Snacking on bread reduces Stress in a pinch, but only if you have flour on hand. Here is how to find flour in Magical Princess.
How to Find Flour in Magical Princess
To get flour in Magical Princess, you must unlock the Bakery and take a job there kneading dough. Working in the Bakery kneading dough costs 2% stress and 3 Energy, making it an expensive job. The amount of flour you earn is dependent on how well Alice performs while on shift.
Unfortunately, to take this job on, something else is going to be sacrificed. You can choose to take fewer classes during school to save energy, but that will slow skill progression down. Alternatively, players can choose to skip social interactions, but this will limit who Alice is able to create bonds with. The money and flour are nice, but it’s good to balance how often you work at the Bakery against studying and socializing.
It is not possible to knead regular bread at night. The evening shift is for the evil route and will drop a different item.
Where is the Bakery in Magical Princess?
The Bakery is in the Central Plaza, and is unlocked after Alice completes her first day at the academy. The Central Plaza is very busy, and it can be easy to use up all your energy, so plan your day accordingly, especially after unlocking the Outskirts.
Once you have Flour, you can head home and bake at any time as long as that family skill has been unlocked. Baking does not require energy, and is critical to making most meal options that Alice can bake in Magical Princess.
