The release date for the upcoming WWE 2K26 has just been leaked by a credible source, and it won’t be long before fans can jump back into the virtual squared circle. There has already been plenty of buzz about this year’s big wrestling title, both across social media and on WWE programming.

Previous rumors have hinted that WWE 2K26‘s Showcase mode will be centered around current WWE World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk, with Punk himself narrating as players experience career highlights and fantasy match-ups. Four new match types will also supposedly be added this year, including “I Quit” matches, Inferno matches, Three Stages of Hell matches, and Dumpster matches.

WWE 2K26 Will Reportedly Launch On March 13, 2026

WWE 2K26 Attitude Era Cover

French gaming reporter Billbil-kun recently claimed that WWE 2K26 will launch on Friday, March 13, for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, and Xbox Series X/S. Insider Gaming would later back up claims that WWE 2K26 would be available on Switch 2 at launch, and said that the physical version of the game would be on a game key card.

Over the past couple of weeks, WWE and 2K Games have been unveiling the many different editions of WWE 2K26. The first two covers to be revealed were the Attitude Era Edition and Monday Night War Edition, both of which are themed after the then-WWF’s late 90’s boom period. Last night’s WWE Monday Night Raw saw the unveiling of the King of Kings Deluxe Edition, featuring former WWE Champion and current executive Triple H.

With WWE’s Royal Rumble event airing this weekend, it might not be too long before fans get an official confirmation about WWE 2K26‘s release date, gameplay, and standard cover star. Previous entries(such as WWE 2K25) have launched in March, so these latest rumors seem very likely, even if they aren’t set in stone just yet.
