If you’re a cozy gamer and book lover, like many of us here at Bonus Action are, there’s one upcoming game you can’t miss. That game is called Tiny Bookshop, and it puts you in the role of traveling bookseller.
This was one of our team’s favorite demos of 2024, and clearly, we’re not alone in that opinion. Patch Magazine recently named Tiny Bookshop as their Anticipated Gem of 2024 in their Indie Game Awards.
Running Our Own Tiny Bookshop When?
The developers behind Tiny Bookshop shared the exciting news of their Patch of Approval via X:
The demo for Tiny Bookshop is still available on Steam if you’re looking to get a taste of this highly anticipated title. It gives you just a few days of gameplay, where you’ll learn to set up your shelves to meet customer requests. You’ll even get to make specific recommendations based on what your guests are looking for – from actual book titles, I might add.
From the demo alone, our team fell in love with the art style and cozy, caravan-based gameplay. We’re looking forward to diving in to see what else Tiny Bookshop has to offer upon full release, and the folks at Patch Magazine prove we’re not alone.
Alas, we don’t know quite how long we’ll need to wait. Tiny Bookshop plans to release sometime in 2025, but no specific date has been announced. You can trust we’ll share it as soon we we know.
Alongside the winner, the Anticipated Gem award highlights a few other cozies that gamers are looking forward to. Other nominees for this category included Cat Cafe Manager 2: Big City Bliss, AfterLove EP, and While Waiting.
In addition to the Anticipated Gem award, The Patch Game Awards includes many categories, celebrating the best in cozy games from the year. We see quite a few beloved Bonus Action favorites in the nominees for this year alongside Tiny Bookshop, including Minami Lane in the Mini-Made category and Fields of Mistria for Game of the Year.
