Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate is finally coming to Nintendo Switch 2 later this month. Developed by Super Evil Megacorp and released on Apple Arcade in 2023, Splintered Fate sets the Ninja Turtles on a roguelike mission to rescue their Master Splinter from the evil Foot Clan using dimension-hopping portals and an ever-changing set of special abilities.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate earned mainly positive reviews when it first launched, though many compared it unfavorably to Hades. The game was eventually ported to the original Nintendo Switch in July 2024, then Windows a few months later. PlayStation and Xbox consoles would follow suit earlier this year.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate Comes To Nintendo Switch 2 On December 16

Now Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate is making its way to Nintendo Switch 2 on December 16, 2025, as announced by Super Evil Megacorp. In addition to a standalone release on Nintendo’s newest console, an upgrade for the original Nintendo Switch will be available for fans who already purchased Splintered Fate on that system.

There are a handful of new upgrades coming to the Nintendo Switch 2 version of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate, such as an enhanced 4k resolution docked mode and 1080P undocked resolution to ensure that the game’s comic book-inspired graphics look better than ever. An increased FPS will also allow the Turtles to move as fast as they can through the waves of Foot Ninja and enemy mutants overrunning New York City.

Additionally, the Nintendo Switch 2’s GameChat and GameShare features will let fans connect with each other and team up for a session of high-octane ninja action. GameShare allows players to connect with other Switch 1 or Switch consoles in the same room, while GameChat enables them to hook up with friends online with voice and video.

The past few years have been a rollercoaster for TMNT gaming fans, especially with the planned The Last Ronin game left in question following the movie’s recent cancellation. However, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate is a fun roguelike for fans of the Heroes In A Half Shell, and soon Switch 2 owners will get to jump into the shell-raising antics later this month.
