Riftbound hype is growing by the day as a slew of news card reveals tantalize feature players. To help stoke these fires, Bonus Action is delighted to add another exciting addition to the list with an exclusive card reveal.
Thanks to Riot Games, we can give you the very first look at the Fury card Immortal Phoenix. Playable alongside Legends like the Volibear and Jinx, and packing a very special ability, it is a card that could become a staple of decks.
The Immortal Phoenix Rises From Your Discard Pile
The Immortal Phoenix card in Riftbound will cost one Fury Rune to put into play. It has a base Might of three, but gains two additional points while attacking.
This type of unit is perfect for early game, with a low cost to get it on the field and good usability throughout. In fact, discarding it to make way for more powerful options is exactly what makes it so powerful. For the cost one recycled Fury Rune, players can pull and play Immortal Phoenix right from the discard pile.
If played correctly, with multiple Immortal Phoenix cards in a deck, players could continually resurrect this Unit to keep hold of Battlefields, pushing back on their opponent. They are the perfect strategy for creating a distraction while building up a monstrous Legend like the Volibear.

The big thing to pay attention to with Immortal Phoenix is the number of Rune cards on your bench. If you run out, you won’t be able to get anything into play or bring an Immortal Phoenix back from the trash.

Riftbound will release to US audiences this October, and it is looking to be one of the most exciting tabletop games to release in a long while. We are excited and can’t wait to see everyone else playing later this year.
