How To Tell You’re On the Right Track to Find a Spirit in Spirit City: Lofi Sessions
Actually luring a Spirit out of its hiding place takes time. However, you’ll know right away if you set up the conditions to bring out a new Spirit. When everything is lined up properly, you’ll see a glowing ring around the Spiritdex icon in the UI. That lets you know that a Spirit is in the process of coming out to say hello.

At that point, you just need to wait until enough time passes for the red icon to pop up, letting you know it’s time to meet a new Spirit.
