Players must fight a slew of enemies in Hytale if they are going to gather crafting materials. Much of what is needed for advanced crafting is dropped by mobs that spawn in different biomes around the map. This includes Linen Scraps.

Linen Scraps are one of the earliest mob drops players will encounter, and one of the most important. However, it is easy to miss this drop if you avoid enemy encounters when first getting started in the game. Below is everything you need to know about grinding linen scraps in Hytale.

Surprisingly, linen scraps aren’t crafted at any workbench. Instead, they can only be obtained in Hytale by defeating standard skeleton mobs. These mobs spawn in open areas both night and day, and wear worn, brown clothing.

Defeating them will earn players linen scraps that are best stored in a chest at the base until needed for crafting. They can be difficult to grind, as you must wander around open areas far from your base in order to find enough skeletons to collect a decent number of them.

Each skeleton typically drops two linen scraps and bone fragments.

How to Use Linen Scraps in Hytale

Linen scraps are a key material when crafting advanced tools and weapons. They are needed for Iron crafting and above, making them a key part of the efforts required to improve from copper gear. They replace the plant fiber that is used in lower-tier gear in Hytale.

It is best to wait to begin skeleton hunts in Hytale until you have a copper weapon. After this, it will be much easier to take out any standard monsters. The crude sword is fairly weak, making it a less ideal option when trying to gather enough linen scraps for a full set of iron tools once you have the ingots required for crafting.
