When jumping into Date Everything, I was prepared to fall in love with the dishwasher, not get courted by the creeping, dark fear that lurks behind my eyelids at night. Despite this, players can, in fact, romance Nightmare in this strange Otome game.
Nightmare appears when the player goes to sleep at night, though it can be encountered when working through Betty’s storyline for the first time as well. This guide will walk you through everything you need to know to find and date Nightmare in Date Everything.
Note: Nightmare’s route is a bit more challenging than others. The love route requires a slightly different path than the frienship, where you allow yourself to be frightened. Save frequently for the ability to backtrack.

Where to find Nightmare in Date Everything
Nightmare is encountered by drinking coffee with Kopi right before bed. In our playthrough, they appeared after starting romances with Kopi and Stepford.
They also appeared in the storyline with Betty, when she tries to induce nightmares to help her sleep.
How to Get the Love Ending with Nightmare
First Interaction
The first interaction with Nightmare takes players through a terrifying conversation about a bug infestation. The first few answers don’t have options.
When given the chance to respond about the bugs eating you alive, respond with “Stop it, please!” and then “I’m not!”
When told “until next time…”, respond with “Wait…how can I see you again?”
Second Interaction
When you are able to make a response, choose “Hey! Cut it out!”
For the second answer, respond with “the public speaking scares me.”
For the third answer, respond with “Are you gonna use my answer to scare me?”
For the fourth answer, respond with “I’m afraid of…abandonment.”
Third Interaction
The scene you see in this interaction is specifically related to your choice from the previous encounter.
When given a chance to respond, choose, “That’s too scary! Why would you show me that?”
On the second answer, respond with, “That love is worth having, even if you have to risk being hurt?”
Fourth Interaction
In this interaction, Nightmare won’t try to ruin your night. Instead, you have a chance to speak with her.
For the first response, say, “Hey. Wait,” followed by, “I was just thinking maybe we could talk a little before we get down to the scaring.”
After this, on the third response, say, “I just want to talk to you, actually.”
For the fourth response, say, “I’ve always wanted a goth girlfriend.”
On the fifth response, say, “I imagine most people don’t understand how important your work is.”
On the sixth response, say, “I think that’s kinda hot, honestly.”
Fifth Interaction
To start this interaction, select “you okay?”
For the second answer, respond with, “You did feel a little off your game, if I’m being honest.”
For the third answer, respond with, “Did what?”
For the fourth answer, respond with, “I guess that’s why you look different to me now.”
For the fifth answer, respond with, “Are you okay?”
For the sixth answer, respond with, “Maybe we could talk this through.”
When she tries to scare you, respond with, “High-pitched scream.”
For the eighth answer, respond with, “You need to just embrace whatever this is going to be.”
Sixth Interaction
When you start this interaction, choose your answers carefully. To keep on the Love path, answer first with, “What are you saying?”
After this, respond with, “A Relationship?”, and then you can flirt however you’d like.
How to Get the Friends Ending with Nightmare

When told “until next time…”, respond with “Wait…how can I see you again?”

When you are able to make a response, choose “Who do you think you’re scaring, pal?”
For the second answer, respond with “the public speaking thing is stupid.”
For the third answer, respond with “Are you gonna use my answer to scare me?”
For the fourth answer, respond with “I’m afraid of…abandonment.”

When given a chance to respond, choose, “Alright, alright…I get your point.”

How to Get the Hate Ending with Nightmare
Follow all of the above, and when you ask to be her lover, respond with “Do what you need to.”
You can also get this ending by mocking or making fun of her attempts to scare you early on.
