The promised content expansion for Fae Farm is finally out, which means you can put those wings on your back to good use and fly among the new critters and characters of Skyvale. In this guide, I’ll show you how to start and complete every quest in Skies of Azoria. To the clouds, Fae Farmers!

Additional Guides

What’s new in Fae Farm with the Skies of Azoria DLC?

Fae Farm‘s Skies of Azoria DLC takes you to the realm of Skyvale, which, unsurprisingly, is in the sky. Up in the clouds, you can meet four new characters, Gryff, Phoebe, Kestrel, and Finn. You can also get to know a new deity friend, Gusto.

These characters are not just here to idly chat with you, though. Each character has their own shop In Windhaven, Skyvale’s village. Here, you can purchase new outfits, wings, seeds, and even buffs for your farm. And I’m not talking about a regular fertilizer.

But it’s not all sky dwellers in Skyvale: You can also collect new critters, forageables, wood, and more.

By far the best addition is the inclusion of new dungeons. Unlike all mines and caves in Fae Farm, the dungeons in Skies of Azora are more about puzzles and less about combat.

How to start the Skies of Azoria DLC in Fae Farm

To start the Skies of Azoria DLC in Fae Farm, reload your save, go to sleep, and open your mailbox to find a letter with the subject line “A Plea from the Clouds.”

To get this letter, you must complete Chapter 4 up to the quest Journey to the Other Side. You also must own the Skies of Azoria DLC, which comes with all Switch copies of Fae Farm and the Deluxe Edition on PC.

Once you’ve completed Act 1 of Skies of Azoria, you can complete Acts 2 and 3, but only if you’ve progressed enough in the main story. Here’s a detailed breakdown of how to unlock all Acts of the Skies of Azoria DLC

  • Act 1: One day after completing Chapter 4
  • Act 2: One day after starting Chapter 6
  • Act 3: One day after starting Chapter 8

If you’ve already completed the main story, you have access to all Acts of the Skies of Azoria DLC.

How to plant the Magic Beans in Fae Farm: Skies of Azoria

To plant the Magic Beans Kestrel sends you, head through the stairs to your house’s right to reach the area north of your farm. There, you can find a glowing plot of land. Water it once for three days and the Magic Beans will grow. Climb the Magic Beans to reach the Skies of Azoria in Fae Farm.

How to get Opal in in Fae Farm: Skies of Azoria

To comfortably fast travel from your Homestead to Windhaven, you must craft an Opal Seal. Opal is a new crystal you can get in Skyvale.

The most common material you can mine in Skyvale is Aetherite Ore, but there are a few rocks that yield Opal when mined. While Aetherite rocks are mostly gray with a streak of radiant cyan, Opal rocks are gray at the bottom and have a teal-colored crystal on top.

How to gather all the ingredients for Finn in Fae Farm: Skies of Azoria

Finn asks that you gather the following resources for him:

  • 8 Feathergrass: Use the Scythe to cut the green grass of Skyvale.
  • 8 Cottonwood Logs: Either chop the logs on the ground or cut the trees of Skyvale.
  • 8 Night Berries: Interact with the bushes to gather their blue night berries.
  • 8 Star Sand: Look for piles of indigo sand on the ground.

Once you’ve got everything in your inventory, take the ingredients back to Finn.

How to get Moon Melons and Starry Fruits in Fae Farm: Skies of Azoria

For the quest Gusto’s Favorite Meal, Finn hands you two Moon Melons and two Starry Fruits. If you can’t receive them because your inventory is full, make some space and pick them up from the ground.

If you want to get these seeds outside of the quest, you can purchase them from Finn’s shop. For 4 Night Berries and 1 Buff Bonet, you can get 2 Moon Melon or Starry Fruit seeds.

Once you’ve got the seeds, head back to your farm in Azoria, enter build mode, and craft four Stairsoil Beds with 3 Star Sand, 3 Cottonwood Log, and 3 Feathergrass.

All that’s left is to plant all four crops, water them three times so they’re ready to harvest, and bring them back to Finn.

How to prepare a Cloud Star Salad in Fae Farm: Skies of Azoria

How to complete all Star Vaults in Where the Star Falls in Fae Farm: Skies of Azoria

To get five Fallen Stars for Gusto, you must enter all Star Vaults Gates in Skyvale and clear all the puzzles to collect the star inside.

Not all Star Vault Gates open at once. Complete the first two, head home to sleep, and then come back to do two more. To spot the active Star Vault Gates, climb the Windmill west to Skyvale’s entrance to get an aerial view of this realm.

Star Vault 1

To solve the puzzle in the Star Vault next to Gryff, walk to the end of the hallway and interact with the pedestal at the end. This spawns a pink bridge you can climb in the back of the room to reach your first Fallen Star.

Star Vault 2

Once you’ve cleared your tutorial Fallen Star, you can enter the Star Vault next to Gryff again to find a second challenge. Interact with the pedestals I, II, and III in the specific order to open the door to the second Fallen Star.

Star Vault 3

East of Windhaven village, you can find the third Star Vault in Fae Farm. To solve the puzzle inside the Star Vault, follow these steps:

  1. Interact with the pedestal in the room to spawn a Mole Vault. This is a Jumble, but you’ll use it to your advantage.
  2. Lure the Mole Vault toward the north portion of the room and stand on it.
  3. As the Mole Vault launches you into the air, flap your wings to reach the platform ahead of you.

Star Vault 4

West of Windhaven village lies another Star Vault. Here’s a step-by-step solution to this Fallen Star puzzle:

  1. Interact with the pedestal on the left to spawn a Mole Vault.
  2. Have the Mole Vault dig the blue glyph next to the quicksand icon.
  3. Lure the Mole Vault toward the north portion of the room and wait until it jumps.
  4. This boost plus a bit of wing flapping should get you on the higher platform with the Fallen Star.

Star Vault 5

The last Star Vault lies past the Windmill west of Skyvale’s entrance. This is by far the most complex puzzle, but here’s how you can solve it and get the last Fallen Star in Fae Farm:

  1. Interact with the I Pedestal to your left to activate a floating platform. Hop on it to reach the other side of the room.
  2. On the other side of the room, activate the II Pedestal and hop back on the floating platform.
  3. Before you reach the I Pedestal, jump to the left to enter a secret room.
  4. Defeat the Crumbler and its Crumblings (That poor Jumble family!) and activate the III Pedestal at the end of the room.
  5. Head back to the I Pedestal to find out it’s now become the IV Pedestal. Touch it and hop on the floating platform.
  6. When you reach the other end, jump on the orange glyph to get the Fallen Star.
  7. To exit, land on the stairs to the Fallen Star’s left.

With all Fallen Stars collected, head back to Gusto and turn them in. He’s back to normal and offers his Weather Buffs up for sale. Time to head back home and hit the sack for a couple of days before starting Act 2 of Skies of Azoria in Fae Farm.

How to get Cloudyflower and Night Root seeds in Fae Farm: Skies of Azoria

Both seeds cost eight Night Berries and one Twilight Thyme. Twilight Thyme is a new pink flower type you can forage in the Starlight Isles.

How to complete all Rare Vaults in A Rare in the Glare in Fae Farm: Skies of Azoria

In the Starlight Isles, you can find several new Rare Star Vaults for you to explore. While at first only Gryff’s is open, more will unlock each day.

If you don’t feel like completing a specific puzzle, just go to sleep and come back on the next day to find other puzzles.

Rare Fallen Star 1

  1. Touch the pedestal in front of you to get a Potion of True Sight. Do this as many times as you want to get an endless supply of them before you proceed.

  3. There’s a pedestal on the wall at the very back of the room. Touch it to open the door to the right.

Rare Fallen Star 2

  3. Walk to the right and get through the hallway with the pots to find a third portal.
  4. There’s an exit right in front of you, but instead of leaving empty-handed, go through the portal you just entered and pick up a Fallen Star.
  5. Step on the portal that got you here to teleport to a higher platform with a Rare Fallen Star and another exit.

Rare Fallen Star 3

To complete the Mole Vault Star puzzle, follow these steps:

  2. Lure it to each top glyph in this area.
  3. Lure it to the left and jump on it to reach the higher platform with a Fallen Star.
  4. Lure it to the back of the room and jump on it to reach a Rare Fallen Star and exit.

Rare Fallen Star 4

To solve the numbered pedestal Star Vault puzzle, follow these steps:

  1. Touch the numbered pedestal in the correct order: orange, red, and green. This opens the door ahead.
  2. Use the yellow boosts to fly for longer or jump higher and collect the Fallen Star inside the room to the right.
  3. Using the gust of wind, fly upward and reach a pedestal near this Fallen Star to open the exit. Don’t leave just yet!
  4. Use the yellow boosts to reach the area ahead and get the Rare Fallen Star. You can stand on the vases to reach higher ground, too.

Rare Fallen Star 5

To solve the floating islands Star Vault Puzzle, use the yellow boosts to fly for longer and jump higher. This helps you reach the floating island on the upper right, which contains a Fallen Star.

Once you’ve got all six Rare Fallen Stars, take them to Gusto to cheer him up. He offers new weather buffs for sale, which concludes Act 2 of the Skies of Azoria DLC in Fae Farm.

How to get all Legendary Fallen Stars in Gusto’s Needs are Legendary in Fae Farm: Skies of Azoria

Legendary Fallen Stars are golden. While the puzzles aren’t different from the ones you’ve already completed, you still need to locate where these new stars are hidden.

Legendary Fallen Star 1

While you can’t get a Legendary Fallen Star in this puzzle, you can still collect a Fallen Star and a Rare Fallen Star:

  1. Jump on the circular floating platform on the left.
  2. Hop on the circular floating platform on the right.
  3. To get the green Fallen Star, press the switch in front of the second floating platform and climb the bridge to the right.
  4. To get the purple Rare Fallen Star, ride the floating platform to the top and use the gust of wind to fly toward the star above.

Legendary Fallen Star 2

  1. Touch the I Pedestal on your right and ride the platform to the back of the Star Vault.
  2. Touch the II Pedestal and jump on the platform to return.
  3. To your left lies an open door leading to a room with a Jumble. Here, Touch the III Pedestal and head back to the cloudy room.
  4. Touch the IV Pedestal and jump on the floating platform.
  5. On the back of the Star Vault, use the yellow boost to reach the V Pedestal on the wall above you. Here’s where the regular Fallen Star is. If you need extra help, land on the stairs to the left and then jump to the platform with the V Pedestal.
  6. Use the floating platform to reach the room to the right. Don’t kill the Jumble yet. Instead, lure it to the wall on the back to get access to the VI Pedestal, which teleports you to your first Legendary Star.
  7. As you exit through the portal on the second floor, you find the Rare Fallen Star.

Legendary Fallen Star 3

  1. Touch the Pedestal below to spawn a Mole Vault.
  2. Lure the Mole Vault to all three glyphs on the ground.
  3. Use the Mole Vault’s launching skill to get to the higher platforms, where you can find one Legendary Fallen Star.
  4. On the platform south, you can touch a second pedestal to create a bridge to the portal.

Legendary Fallen Star 4

  1. Touch pedestals to generate bridges and reach the platforms on the other side
  2. You can touch this pedestal by the stairs to spawn mana bugs.
  3. You can break these walls with your staff.
  4. Near the portal on the top floor, past a few breakable walls, you can find a Rare Fallen Star.
  5. On the first floor, you find a wall with a Crumbler on it. Lure the Crumbler toward you to break it. Inside, you can find the Legendary Fallen Star.
  6. Use the stairs on this floor to jump and reach a breakable wall on the right. Behind it, you can find the regular Fallen Star.

Legendary Fallen Star 5

  1. Jump on the floating platforms to reach the area on the upper left with the Legendary Fallen Star.
  2. The regular Fallen Star is on a floating platform on the lower left.
  3. The Rare Fallen Star is hidden under the building on the top right.

Legendary Fallen Stars 6 and 7

  1. As you start this puzzle, look above the door to find the first Legendary Fallen Star. Yep, just like that.
  2. Use the yellow boosts to reach the regular Fallen Star inside the building on the right.
  3. The Rare Fallen Star is still at the end of the Star Vault.
  4. Don’t leave yet. There’s a second Legendary Fallen Star here. Head back to the starting area and jump to the void before the portal. Go through the portal in front of you to teleport to the second Legendary Fallen Star.

Bonus level: Legendary Stars 8 and 9

  1. Before heading down the portals on the sides, interact with all three pedestals on this platform. This causes all necessary bridges to spawn.
  2. On the lower floor, use the Vortex skill in front of the wall with the green glyph to reveal a secret path. Follow it to the left to find one Rare Fallen Star.
  3. To find the first Legendary Fallen Star, head all the way to the top and make your way to the leftmost room. A wall blocks the way, but if you use your Bash skill it crumbles and gives you access to the first Legendary Fallen Star.
  4. The second Legendary Fallen Star is on a cilindric platform next to the exit portal.
