If you’ve ever yearned for a game that brings together the vibes of Stranger Things and Stardew Valley with a dash of monster hunting, Bloomtown: A Different Story is here to deliver.

This RPG puts players in the role of Emily, a young girl sent to spend the summer with her grandpa. She, along with her little brother Chester, soon find that Bloomtown is hiding darker secrets than it first seems. And of course, it’s up to you to uncover said secrets.

Bloomtown features a pretty robust in-game tutorial for basic concepts, but any dungeon crawl leaves a few stones unturned. Our full walkthrough is here to help!

What is Bloomtown About? Basic Gameplay Overview

Bloomtown is a bit of a mixed bag and it can take a bit of time to settle into the gameplay. It’s partly exploring a small town and completing quests, and partly a turn-based RPG where you battle and collect demons.

When you’re in Bloomtown itself, you’ll have mundane chores and tasks for Grandpa as well as a part-time job to earn pocket money. You’ll grow crops, cook to feed yourself and your brother, and get to know the townsfolk.

During this part of gameplay, you primarily control Emily. Other characters sometimes join up and follow you around, as well.

However, the real quests lie in the mysterious Underside. There, you’re in a good old dungeon crawl where you find your way, unlock treasure chests, and battle demons.

You’ll still walk around as Emily in dungeons, but will be able to control all of your party’s actions in the turn-based combat sequences.

How to Subdue Demons in Bloomtown: A Different Story

One of the trickier things to understand in Bloomtown is subduing demons. The first time you do it, it’s part of a tutorial courtesy of your helpful demon tutor. However, it’s a bit confusing to figure out how to recreate the Hold Up! moment that gives you an opportunity to subdue the demon.

During actual gameplay, it can seem that the opportunity to subdue a demon happens at random. But there is actually a trick to it. If you want to recruit demons for your team, the difference between fully knocking out a demon and “downing” them is essential.

When you hit a demon with a spell it’s weak against that doesn’t outright take its HP to zero, it will be downed. This state leaves it on the battlefield, but temporarily knocked out.

You can tell a demon is weak to your attack before hitting it, because the word WEAK will pop up when you select that opponent as your target for the attack.

Hitting the creature above, which has almost full HP, with this attack will cause it to be downed. When all demons on the battlefield are downed, you’ll get the “Hold Up!” pop-up that lets you try to subdue a demon.

TIP: If you STUN or FREEZE a demon, it will be considered downed for the purposes of triggering this effect. If you down one demon and stun another, the Hold Up! pop up will appear and you can subdue the downed demon. You cannot subdue a frozen or stunned demon.

Ideally, you would leave the demon you want to capture for last, then hit it with something it’s weak against so you can subdue it. You can try to subdue a demon with multiple left on the battlefield as long as they’re all subdued, but it’s much tougher to pull off.

The subdue itself is a dice roll based on your current skills in the game. The stronger the demon, the tougher this check will be.

How to Craft the Demon Catcher in Bloomtown
Screenshot by Bonus Action

Eventually, you will be able to craft a Demon Catcher at the workbench in Emily’s romo. This recipe will help instantly capture demons, except Elites and Bosses. To make the Demon Catcher, you need:

  • 5 Scrap
  • 3 Mechanical Components
  • 3 Demonic Essence

How to Get More Scrap for Crafting

You’ll find the occasional bit of scrap and mechanical components while exploring the Underside. However, the most reliable way to get it is to buy it from Ruth.

You will meet Ruth once you unlock the Farm District. Visit her shop and interact with her by hitting “buy” to purchase Scrap and Mechanical Components. You can use these to make the Demon Catcher, lockpicks, and other useful tools at the workbench in Emily’s room.

How to Swap Out Your Demon Helpers

Once you subdue demons, you can add them to your team to channel useful spells in battle. Everyone in your party starts with one demon companion and one empty slot.

To add a second demon or swap one out, open up the main menu. Then, scroll to the little demon charm at the end. This lets you enter the Demons menu.

Here, you can view each character’s current battle setup and add/swap demons. Just select a character to view all available demons and switch them out as desired.

It’s best to have good even coverage of different elemental spells for a general dungeon crawl, so try to represent as many elements as you can in your setup.

How to get a Fishing Rod & Minigame Explained in Bloomtown: A Different Story

To get a fishing rod, you’ll need to complete your first shift at Mr. Lovely’s Grocery Store, Good Place. This usually happens on Day 3. After your shift, he’ll pay you 6 dollars and give you the rod.

You can get Fishing Bait from the Fisherman at the pier in the Central District. He’ll give you five Bait to help you get started.

Although Bloomtown is surrounded by water, you can only fish at designated fishing spots, marked with a sign featuring a light-blue fish on a white background.

To fish, look for an area where fish are swimming and either click on it or press X. Then, wait until the orange circle shrinks to fit the orange dot in the center, and click or press X again.

How to Get Back to the Underside

Getting back to the Underside to pick up where you left off is pretty straightforward. Just grab the phone in your house, which will have an option to “Infiltrate the Underside.”

Select this, and you’ll return to the last payphone you used to return to Bloomtown.

What To Do With Books in Bloomtown

At various points in your Bloomtown journey, you’ll get books as quest items. You can – and should! – sit at your desk in your room to read these.

Just interact with the desk, pick a book, and choose how long you want to spend reading it. You will see a progress bar at the top that lets you know how much longer it will take to finish.

You can also read books using the “wait” interaction at various benches around Bloomtown. If you need to pass time for a business to open, this is a great way to increase stats while you do!

When you finish a book, you will level up various stats based on the book’s contents.

How to Unlock the Farm District

If you talk to the mysterious doctor and begin his delivery quest early in game like I did, you may be wondering how to make that Farm District delivery. This area, marked with a pig icon on the map, is initially unavailable.

You will unlock the Farm District once you complete the first major dungeon in Bloomtown. Finish up with the Library Underside, and you’ll enter a cutscene the next day. This wraps up that storyline, and Grandpa Cooper throws his remote at the TV. It breaks, and he sends you to the farm district to pick up a part to fix it.

Heading here will start the next bit of the story, and will also permanently unlock the Streets area of the Farm District. You’ll be able to make your final delivery for Dr. Shadow.

How to Unlock the City District & Rich District

Like the Forest District, the City District and Rich District are unlocked by progressing in the story.

You will be able to access both regions once you have defeated The Ranger, and your next quest will begin.

How to Get New Equipment in Bloomtown

When exploring the Underside, be sure to open chests, where you canoften find new weapons, armor, and accessories. However, you can also buy items to power up your team.

The main place to buy new weapons and armor is The Pawn Shop in the Central District.

You can also watch TV in Cooper’s house during the day and bid on special items that will arrive in the mail instantly.

How to Unlock New Perks for Your Party Members

As Emily, it’s easy to know how to level up different stats – you’re in control! But with your friends, it’s a little less clear how to improve their stats and perks.

When you’re near party members like Hugo, Chester, and Ramona, you’ll notice a little purple icon next to them. If you talk to them, you’ll get the option to “Hang Out.” You might think these cutscenes are just some fun story flavor for the characters, but they actually serve another purpose.

Hanging out with friends in Bloomtown lets you unlock new perks, abilities that will help them do better in battles. I recommend finding time to hang out with each of your party members in between trips to the Underside so you can unlock perks and prepare for tougher fights.

Can You Change Your Party Members in Bloomtown?

When meeting new friends like Ruth, players may wonder whether she can become an active member of the Underside adventuring party.

While Ruth and other allies may help you along the way, they cannot be adding to your main party. Hugo, Emily, and Ramona will remain the primary members of your party.

Bloomtown Quest Guide – Main Quests

Searching for Sarah, the missing girl at the Park

While searching for Sarah, you can speak to her four friends to complete Contact with the natives and more clues and some rewards. Here’s where you can find each of them:

Visual ReferenceKid’s location

Give them five apples, and they’ll reward you with eight cents. This completes the quest An apple a day keeps the doctor away.

How to Enter the Treehouse

The easiest way to enter the treehouse is by solving the clues in the notes to find the key. The first note is attached to a log near the kid in the northeast part of the forest. It directs you toward a large rock, which is located near the kid by the river, west of the Wildland.

After reading the note, head north and look for a slim, hollow tree with a bird’s nest on top. Interact with it to get the Treehouse Key. Then, go southwest to the treehouse, climb the stairs, and open the door.

The Rubble – Getting Strong Enough to Move the Planks

Before you can get any further in the Underside, Emily needs to get stronger. This quest has two main stages, one that’s pretty obvious and one that’s less straightforward.

First, to complete “You’ve got to work up a sweat,” head to the Gym. This is in the Central District – select it on the map to Fast Travel there.

Head to the front desk and interact with the woman there, and you’ll be able to exercise. Doing this gives Emily an additional 10 HP.

But you’re not done yet! The next part of the quest says “I need to pump myself up some more.” If you open the map, your Grandpa’s house is the circled area for this quest. It’s not super clear what you need to do, but the secret is hiding on the rug in your room.

Those two bumps on the rug are actually dumbells! Interact with them and Emily will pump some iron to get stronger.

Once you do this, you’ll be able to take on the Weightlifting Rematch part of the quest – returning to the Underside to move the rubble.

Save Sarah – Get In, Save Her, Het Out Final Boss Fight

The quest to save Sarah is a long one, and will involve you completing the game’s first dungeon. Follow the steps in our dungeon guide to find the key in the caves and find the key in the exhibition hall.

Once you have both keys, unlock the door in the main floor of the Library Underside.

Be sure your party is fully healed, stocked on plenty of healing items, and that you’ve got your best weapons equipped. The final step to save Sarah will your toughest demon boss fight yet!

When you head through the doorway, you will enter a cutscene conversation with the library demon.

You can choose whichever dialogue options you like – some may lead to combat more quickly than others, but you’ll be fighting the Librarian demon either way.

The boss fight with the Librarian has two stages.

Librarian Stage One

In stage one, she is Lvl. 6 and primarily uses Blizzard to ice out your team. She has no major elemental weaknesses, but no strengths either. Attack with fire spells and physical attacks to take her down.

Librarian Stage Two

After you do, she will talk to you and then rise again as a Lvl. 7 boss. Now, she uses Burning Ashes to turn up the heat on your team. She will also conjure books to guard herself – these are easily defeated with one strong attack.

Once you defeat her, you will be able to rescue Sarah and Mrs. Gray will turn back into her human self. Then, you’ll make a choice on whether to turn her in or leave her be.

You’ll watch the news the next morning to find out the result of your choice.

High Tech, Low Life – setting up the walkie-talkie receiver

This is your first quest in the Farm District, and it’s pretty straightforward. When you first arrive in the Farm District, head to the shop that says “Stuff, Parts” on the front.

There, you’ll meet Ruth, a tech-savvy girl who’ll soon join your team of Underside infiltrators.

First, though, she wants your help improving her walkie-talkie network. You need to set up a received in a nearby tower.

Head straight across the street to the right to find the map location and set up the receiver. Don’t forget to solve the crossword while you’re up there!

This quest will also open up the next dungeon and your next demonic mystery to solve.

Suburbs Terror – How to Find the Crime Scene and Learn the Ghost’s Name

When you first wake up after returning to Bloomtown after meeting the ghost, you’ll get a call from Ruth. This begins a quest called Forest Communications, where you’ll head to Ruth’s in the Farm District.

When you talk to her, you’ll head to the Woods. Place the receiver, and you’ll get caught by the Ranger.

Talk to the Ranger and ask questions about the missing people. He will take you to the crime scene, where you can click on the various glowing items to get the clues you need. Be sure to get them all, then talk to the Ranger to keep the evidence.

This will open up the Detective Routine subquest, with several new areas of inquiry.

To complete Detective Routine, talk to people around town about the items you found. Here are the most helpful people to find and interrogate.

Visual ReferenceInstructions

Ask him about the toy – he will let you know the name of who it belonged to.
Talk to Ruth About Crime Scene BloomtownHead to Ruth’s shop & talk to Ruth about the film.

This is essential for one of the steps yo uneed to solve the case.
Girl in Forest who Knows where Bob Lives BloomtownTalk to girl near run down house in Farm District.

She knows where Bob lives, which opens up the ability to talk to his mom. She also gives you a lighter you will need to get past the Detective later on.

Once you’ve talked to these three people, you should have two new subquests to follow up on – Talk to Bob’s Mom and Talk to the Photographer.

I suggest finding the photographer first, as he has some more info about Bob’s mom that you’ll want when talking to her. He can be found in the park in the Central District, next to the clown.

Next, find the house with the yellow roof, just behind the parking lot. Talk to Bob’s mom and exhaust all dialogue options.

At this point, you should be all set to head back to the Underside and chat with our ghost, who we now know is Bob.

In the Underside, you will also be able to complete Talk to the Detective. Follow our dungeon guide for instructions on how to follow him in Forest Underside – Part Three.

Make sure you have talked to everyone listed above first – if you don’t have every item, you might not be able to get the key you need from him!

Suburban Terror – Accuse Ranger

After you speak with the detective in the Underside, it’s clear who he suspects. Emily and her friends want to find the Ranger and confront him!

To do this, you’ll need to head to the Forest area of the Bloomtown map. Start at Ruth’s shop in the Farm District, then head to the right until you reach the path that heads off the map. Press Go and you’ll find yourself on the Forest Map.

Follow the map up towards the spot marked for the quest. You will come to a bridge – when you try to cross, a ghost girl appears.

Talk to her and you’ll learn she won’t let you pass because the danger is too great. She says if you can bring proof you defeated two Underside monsters, The Bat and The Wolf, she will let you through.

Once you have the Proof of Power subquest, you’re ready to return to the underside.

NOTE: It’s very important you fight these bosses in the correct order or you may encounter a glitch that stalls your progress. You must fight The Bat first, then The Werewolf. See our dungeon guide for where to find each.

Once you obtain both the Bat Trophy and Wolf Trophy, you’re ready to truly accuse the ranger. Return to the forest and talk to the ghost girl – seeing your proof, she will vanish and wish you luck.

Suburban Terror – How to Escape from the Ranger

Head back into the Ranger’s compound and head up to the top right corner, where you’ll find him in his office.

Head inside and confront him – then get ready to run!

The chase with the Ranger is one of the most frustrating parts of Bloomtown, but you can manage it with the right strategy. Here’s how to get away safely.

When the Ranger first bursts through the door, Hugo will flee. You can’t follow him, and trying will result in Game Over. Instead, interact with the nearby fence posts to slide through into the next area.

Next, you’ll flee through the barn, and that’s when the real chase begins. Kick the vines and head down through the forest. You’ll come to another set of vines. This is a save point and sparks a cutscene with the ranger busting down the doors of the barn. For this next part, you’ll need to collect all five fuel cans to power up a tractor and break through a wall.

However, the Ranger is in hot pursuit. If he sees you, you can’t outrun him, so you’ll need to memorize his pattern so you can stay hidden from sight while gathering the cans. Here’s the order that worked for me and some tips to stay out of his line of sight.

Visual ReferenceInstructions
First Fuel Can By Barn BloomtownKick through the vines and run through before he breaks down the door.

Head back around to the barn where he entered. Wait until he’s checked it once, then sneak through to grab the fuel can just outside the door.
Second Fuel Can Far Left BloomtownSneak back around to the vines and wait for the ranger to be at his furthest point away from the barn before going back through and heading to the far left.

The Ranger never comes to this furthest point on the map, so grab the fuel can here and wait until you see him before moving again.
Third Fuel Can Bottom of MazeWhen the Ranger begins his walk in the far top area, quickly dash to the fuel can you passed, between the vines and the far left wall.

Grab the can and run back to the left to safely hide before the Ranger passes by here again.
Fourth and Fifth Fuel Cans in Top of Maze Bloomtown Ranger ChaseWhen the ranger starts heading up the path by the fuel can at the top middle, carefully follow after him so you can grab the can while he heads the other direction.

There is one more can in this section. Wait until the ranger is at the bottom of the screen and head to the next path over to grab the final can.
Start the Tractor in the Ranger Chase to escapeAt this point, you’re ready to sneak your way over to the tractor and use the fuel to get it started.

Make sure the Ranger is at the far right searching the bar when you do so you have time to get it going before he spots you.

At this point, you’re almost free. The Ranger should stay put behind the tractor while you figure out how to get through the door where Hugo is.

There’s a shed door to the left. Go through it and grab the pliers from the table.

At this point, the Ranger will break through the wall, so be sure to quickly run back to break the chains on the gate so you and Hugo can escape.

Once you return to the Forest, you will temporarily have no Main Quest objectives. You can spend the rest of the day getting supplies, ticking off side quests, or hanging out with your friends to boost their skills.

When you go to bed for the night, a cutscene will trigger, unlocking your next Main Quest – Duel with the Villain. This takes you back to the Underside for a gold old demon boss fight.

Duel with the Villain – How to Beat the Ranger Boss Fight

You’ll need to return to the Underside, where you met Bob, for your final showdown with the Ranger. This battle has three stages, so make sure you go in prepped up with healing spells and items to keep your SP up for that duration.

Ranger Stage One

In this first stage, the Ranger demonstrates many tricks he’ll stick to throughout the fight. He uses group elemental damage spells to burn, freeze, and wooze your team and will also cast Insanity to turn your allies against you.

He is resistant to ranged attacks and all status effects, so don’t bother with status effect spells like Insanity or Poison. Standard damage from melee and elemental spells should do the trick here.

Ranger Stage Two

In the second round, the Ranger mostly sticks to his old tricks. However, he summons a little bear friend to fight at his side.

The bear will cast scary status spells on your team, so I suggest taking it out first – it’s relatively quick and easy to dispatch with melee and elemental spell damage. Then, focus on the Ranger with the same tactics as Stage One until his HP hits zero – again.

Ranger Stage Three

This third round has a scarier bark than its bite. The Ranger will summon two copies of himself to begin. While this means more attacks on your party, the copies are easy to spot – they use single-target spells where the real Ranger keeps up with the area of effect tactics.

The copies will disappear when you beat the true Ranger, so focus on him and ignore the others. He stayed in the middle for me, but you can verify the correct one based on who casts the larger spells that impact your whole team. His resistances and vulnerabilities remain the same, so chip away at him and his buddies will bite the dust at his side.

Wayward Mind – Find a Doctor

After Ramona takes Emily to the City District, you’ll bear witness to the kidnap of one of their new friends. This begins the next major quest series, and leads Emily to seek help from medical and spiritual professionals.

To find a doctor to consult about Johnny’s fate, head back to Dr. Shadow’s house in the Suburban District. This is the house with the dreamcatcher on the porch, a few doors down from Grandpa Cooper.

Head there between 11am-5pm to talk to Dr. Shadow. They’ll ask for some proof about the case before they can agree to help you, leading you to visit City Hall.

See below for details on what to do at City Hall, as both this and Lost Soul lead you there.

Lost Soul – Find a Pastor

The first place to look for a pastor would be a church, so head back to the chuch near the Bloomtown bench, which you passed earlier during Ramona’s tour.

The Pastor will suggest you go to the police, and also note that the orphanage where the kids suspect Johnny’s been taken has its own Pastor. This opens up the Searching for Johnny – Try Looking in the Orphanage main quest.

Before offering any real help beyond intel, the Pastor wants proof of the kidnapping before he will help. A trip to City Hall is in order.

Lost Soul – Visit City Hall

At this point, head to City Hall in the City District. The sign on the door indicates the hours are inetntionally confusing. Rather than try to puzzle them out, knock on the door until someone answers.

When prompted, say you want to speak to Rose. She will come out, and you’ll be able to get some info from her. However, it doesn’t seem like any dialogue options result in actually getting into the City Hall.

At this point, Hugo asks who you want to consult about next steps – the Doctor or the Pastor. The option you choose will impact the story, as you can only seek advice from one of the two. We chose the Doctor, so some elements of the next few quests may differ if you pick the Pastor.

Once you choose, head to consult the Doctor or Pastor depending on your selection. On our end, the Doctor suggests doing something to get the Mayor’s attention, which leads to attempting to stage a demonstration.

To do this, you need Preston’s help. Find his house by following the map to the grey house at the end of the row. Then, join him as he helps his dad with “good deeds.”

Once you finish three tasks with Preston, he will go off to gather people for the demonstration. At this point, you can take care of other side quests while waiting for his call.

It will take two in-game days for Preston to call you back. When you wake up on the second day, the phone will ring when you head downstairs. Answer it to talk to Preston, then head outside. You will automatically wind up at the protest.

Wait until the mayor comes outside, then talk to him. He will agree to help, but he needs you to convince Mr. Nightley and Pastor Snow to work together. This begins the High-Strung Committee main quest.

High -Strung Committee – Get the Pastor and Psychotherapist to work together

At this point, you need to talk to the Pastor and the Psychotherapist. It doesn’t matter who you visit first.

The Church opens at 10am. Head there to complete Convince the Pastor by talking to him. Tell him that Dr. Nightley already agreed, and that should do the trick.

The Psychotherapist’s office opens at 11am. Talking him into it takes a bit more roundabout conversation, but eventually, you can use the same “Pastor already agreed” technique to get him to say yes.

Once you’ve convinced them both, report back to the mayor at city hall. This completes the quest and lets you finally explore the Orphanage.

Bloomtown Quest Guide – Side Quests

Many of the side quests in Bloomtown are pretty straightforward, but if you need some help knowing where to go, we’ve got you covered.

Rock and Roll Tonight – Fixing the record player in your room

In your new bedroom, you will see a record player in the bottom right corner.

Interact with it, and Emily will notice it’s broken. This starts a quest to fix it.

First, talk to Grandpa Cooper about the record player and the missing part. He’ll suggest you head to the pawn shop.

The pawn shop is up towards the top of the map in the Central District, next to Mr. Lovely’s store.

Head inside and talk to the man at the desk. He will let you have the part for free!

Head home to Grandpa and let him know you have the needle. He’ll tell you to fix the player yourself and gift you a record.

Interact with the record player in your room and you will repair it. Now, you can collect and play various records.

Bookworm – Call your mom and stock up on books

The phone in Grandpa Cooper’s house doesn’t just help you get back to the Underside. You can also use it to call people, including your mom.

The first time you call Mom, she’ll suggest you visit the bookstore. This unlocks the Bookworm side quest.

First, talk to Grandpa. He will give you some money to spend on books and suggest you have a friend help you find the bookstore.

Head to Ramona’s house and talk to her about the bookstore. She will ask if you want to go now – hitting yes will take you directly to the bookstore.

Next, talk to the owner. He will tell you there have been some delays with his book shipments. You can still buy a book from him now if you want.

Head back to the suburbs and go to the parking lot behind your grandpa’s house. There will be a man sitting on the curb, looking defeated.

Tell him you’ll help with his critter problem, then head to the back of his van and interact. You will enter the van and find a literary demon.

To get rid of him, you need to answer his three questions about Literature. Former English majors might have the answers memorized, but if you want a little help, here are the correct responses.

QuestionCorrect Response
Which book was published most recently?Fellowship of the Ring
Which of the Bronte sisters wrote Wuthering Heights? Emily
What did Oscar Wilde complain about before he died? Tasteless wallpaper

The demon will depart when you answer correctly, and you have the option to help yourself to a free book from the truck. Quest complete!

Spiritual Food – feed the ghost cat for the witches next door

A few doors down from Grandpa Cooper, you’ll meet a couple of older women who are also pretty clearly witches. Visit them again after you first stop by, and they’ll ask for some help. They need to feed a ghost cat to keep its spirit calm, but they’re tied up at home and can’t head to the pet cemetary. That’s where you come in.

The Pet Cemetary is a separate area of the map, up past the parking lot. Press “Go” when you arrive, and you’ll enter the fog-covered cemetary. With all that fog, it’s tough to see the cat’s grave.

Read the sign at the front of the cemetary and you learn that someone has removed the belongings from the graves. Interact with the fish headstone, and Emily will figure out what to do next.

To get rid of the fog, you need to return them to their rightful place! Pick up the items from the box, then interact with the gravestones to match the items with the dearly departed pets.

You will be able to figure out which item to use by reading the headstone insription, but it’s not always completely obvious. If you need some guidance, here’s where to place each item.

Dr. Shadow – delivering the medicine parcels

To begin this quest, head inside the house with a dreamcatcher on the front porch (where you always wind up when you fast travel to the Suburban District). Talk to the man inside, and he’ll ask you to deliver medicine around town.

You need to deliver to four people – Grandpa Cooper, Mr. Lovely, Pillow and Crow, and Joe.

To make the delivery, talk to each person and use the codephrase “A letter for you from Mr. Smith.” Here’s where to find them.

After you finish the deliveries, return to Dr. Shadow’s house. You’ll find a note suggesting you meet him at the diner to learn what it was all about.

Head there and you’ll uncover the mystery of the packages you delivered.

Lone Daisy – giving Bob’s mother a final gift

Before he departs, Bob asks you to give his mother a single daisy and tell her to move on. To do this, head to the flower shop and ask the owner if they have any daisies.

She’ll say they’re out, but to talk to Nadine. For me, the map never updated where to go for this quest, so it will keep telling you to go to the flower shop. This is incorrect.

Nadine is your grandpa’s next door neighbor on the right side, who taught you how to garden. She is usually standing on her front porch. Talk to her and she’ll give you daisy seeds to plant in your yard.

Water them and wait a day, then harvest the daisy.

Head back to Bob’s mom’s house (the one with the yellow roof just behind the parking lot). Knock on the door and give her the daisy and Bob’s final message. She gets some closure, and you get to tick off another side quest.

Check the mailbox a day or so later, and you’ll also be rewarded with 3 Apple Jams from Bob’s mother.

Defeated Rager. Aftermath.

This final side quest ties up remaining loose ends with the Ranger. To complete it, return to the Ranger’s compound and head inside.

The room will be empty, but there is a note on the safe door in the back. Read it for a final message from the Ranger before Hugo confirms you don’t need to worry about him any more.

We’ll keep adding to the dungeon guide & overall walkthrough as we play, so check back soon for what’s next!
