How to Get New Recipes in Tavern Talk
Earning new drinks to mix for patrons is pretty passive in Tavern Talk. As your friends return from quests, they’ll sometimes bring back new recipes they discovered along the way.
Once these recipes are unlocked, they will be added to your logbook and you can make them immediately.
How Recipes Work in Tavern Talk

In Tavern Talk, drinks don’t have a specific list of ingredients to combine. Instead, each drink is represented by a shape that indicates the dominant and subtle notes for different boosts it will offer.
For instance, if you’re crafting a Southern Brawler, you need to make Strength the dominant trait, with a slight boost to both Charisma and Defense. You can do this using the vials that correspond to each, or you can throw in an infusion that will give some of these traits an automatic boost. That means you’ll need less of the other ingredients to create the right shape on the coaster.
For many drinks, there’s more than one combination of infusions and vials that will get you to where you need to go. This makes drink-making endlessly interesting and only occasionally frustrating.
