Board games can be an expensive hobby. Sure, some are relatively cheap and don’t take up too much space. But it’s a slippery slope into multiple giant boxes between Kickstarter campaigns for your favorite franchises and discover in second-hand shops.
That’s why Amazon’s Prime Day deals can be a saving grace. Each time they come around, major board games, as well as lesser-known ones like Life in Reterra, are heavily discounted so that you could end up getting something that’s over $100 for the price of something much smaller and with much less intricate gameplay.
**This article is updated every Prime Day. The most recent update was for board game deals from July 7 to 11, 2025. Keep an eye out every Prime Day for more board game deals. **

The 10 Best Prime Day Board Game Deals for Board Games You Don’t Want to Miss
Below, I’ve listed the 10 best board game deals from Amazon’s Prime Day. There’s a good mix of niche and more well-known games in there. What I’ve tried to prioritize is the biggest savings.
10. Elden Ring: The Board Game – Realm of The Grafted King

- Price on Amazon:
$199.99/$189.95 - Players: 1-4
- Playtime: Up to 50 hours
Elden Ring took the world by storm as a video game, so the board game was always going to be a winner. This base box includes everything you need for a pulse-pounding gameplay session that could last you almost as long as your last playthrough.
With 54 miniatures, an expansive world to explore, and diceless, card-driven combat against familiar foes in new settings, there’s a lot to love. If you and your friends can’t get enough of FromSoftware’s latest and greatest open-world title, then this is the board game you need to keep that sense of discovery and challenge going.
Even if you’ve already got the base game, you can pick up The Weeping Penninsula and Stormveil Castle expansions at a discount for Prime Day too.
9. Carcassonne

- Price on Amazon:
$41.99/$20.15 - Players: 3-4
- Playtime: 3-4 hours
Carcassonne is a pretty simple board game that’s all about placing tiles around the titular French city. As you do, you’ll also be able to place followers, and that’s where the competitive angle enters. You want to place more followers than everyone else so you can win, but it won’t be easy when everyone has their own strategy.
This game seems complex at first but it’s easy to learn and loads of fun once everyone knows what they’re doing. It’s really good for just having out on the table while you catch up with friends, but can also get intense if you’ve got a competitive edge and want to drive for that win.
What’s interesting about Carcassonne is that you and your fellow players are going to create a unique landscape with every game. It’s as if you’re uncovering terrain from the fog of war with each move in an RTS, and I find that incredibly engrossing.
8. Ticket to Ride: Legends of the West

- Price on Amazon:
$119.99/$111.78 - Players: 2-5
- Playtime: 20-90 minutes
Ticket to Ride is a board game that needs no introduction, but the Legends of the West version is another kettle of fish entirely. The traditional gameplay of becoming a rail tycoon is still core to the experience, completing tickets for all your customers and ensuring they reach their destinations.
However, this version adds 12 games that you compete with opponents across. Each one adds new elements that see you earn and learn new skills designed to help you conquer unexpected events and beat resourceful rivals.
This is the ultimate version of Ticket to Ride that will enthrall you from the moment you sit down to the second you’re finished. If you’ve been looking to spice up your game nights, you need look no further than this.
7. Horizon Zero Dawn: The Board Game

- Price on Amazon:
$95.95/$74.95 (new lowest price) - Players: 1-4
- Playtime: 5 hours
Horizon Zero Dawn: The Board Game is a monster-hunting game in which players play as members of the Hunter’s Lodge. Every hunter has a distinct play style with strengths and weaknesses, and players must work together to take down the machines they’re tasked with hunting.
The game uses deckbuilding to keep combat and the flow of the hunt dynamic. Everything culminates in a battle with a boss machine, but you can expand on what that machine, your hunters, and all the minor enemies are with the many expansions out there that are also on sale for Prime Day.
The game was heavily discounted last year, but now its price has dropped to a new low as standard. The expansions are also heavily discounted for Prime Day, and still well worth your time.
The Thunderjaw Expansion: $59.95/$45.95 on Amazon
The Thunderjaw Expansion introduces the iconic Thunderjaw into the board game alongside new tracking cards, an additional rulebook, and a ton of new attacks to defend against and fight around.
The Rockbreaker Expansion: $54.95/$29.95 on Amazon
The Rockbreaker Expansion adds the toughest machine I’ve ever fought against in the video game. The additional contents introduce a few new mechanics to keep the game fresh, but it’s the ability to dig underground and attack you while you’re unaware that makes this such an interesting machine to battle.
The Stormbird Expansion: $41.95/$35.95 on Amazon
The Stormbird Expansion adds a flying boss machine. Yes, it’s another expansion, but it improves the base game in ways you can’t foresee until you’re fighting it.
The Sacred Land Expansion: $69.95/$49.95 on Amazon
The Sacred Land Expansion is the last on this list for Horizon Zero Dawn: The Board Game, but there are still others out there that aren’t discounted you can grab if you adore this game as much as I do and want every part of it.
This expansion differs from the machine ones because it adds new hunters and accompanying miniatures for The Nora Trapper and Nora Scavenger. With a new rulebook to play with, there are also brand new machines to encounter like Red Eye Watchers, Longlegs, Bellowbacks, Snapmaws, and Stalkers.
Once you’ve mastered the base game, this is a great expansion to move into next. However, any of the boss machine expansions are also great and worth your time, especially at a discounted price.
6. Nemesis

- Price on Amazon:
$149.99/$112.49 - Players: 1-5
- Playtime: 1-2 hours
Nemesis has a huge discount on Prime Day, and it’s a board game you need in your life if you’re into the Alien franchise or survival horror games. The setup is classic. You and your crew awaken to find one among you dead, their body ripped from their hibernation pod. To make matters worse, there are strange noises down the corridors.
The game has some incredibly detailed miniatures, including the enemies you’ll face, and that’s what sets it apart. It’s a full-on experience you can become completely immersed in. Every crew member has weaknesses and strengths, and they don’t share the same motivation.
One among the crew has a hidden agenda, and through backstabbing, bluffing, and general social engineering, players must work together to survive without becoming victims. Every game is unique because so much can change, and you’ll be playing a lot because you’ll want to stare at the minis. Trust me.
5. Cyberpunk 2077: Gangs of Night City

- Price on Amazon:
$109.99/$84.00 - Players: 1-4
- Playtime: 90-120 minutes
While Cyberpunk 2077 was already based on a TTRPG, it also has its own board game. You must join one of four gangs and head out on a series of replayable stories that will twist and turn every time you sit down to play.
With Edgerunners season 2 on the horizon, you might be interested to know that you can recruit characters from the video game and TV show in this board game. Use your abilities, augments, and unique weapons to turn the tide of battle and come out on top in unexpected ways in every encounter.
4. Heat: Pedal to the Metal

- Price on Amazon:
$74.99/$55.99 - Players: 1-4
- Playtime: 60 minutes
I only recently discovered Heat: Pedal to the Metal, but it’s a glorious board game that captures the essence of the earliest days of high-octane racing. It’s not quite back to the days when dudes just held onto engines and hoped for the best, but playing the game certainly feels that way sometimes. Bear with me here because while the base game isn’t discounted for Prime Day, I want to point it out because its expansion is.
The goal is, as you might have guessed, to reach the end of the race before your opponents. To do this, you have to pick which gear you’re in and play cards to help you progress. However, corners have gear restrictions, and if you’re too fast, you’re going to crash and burn.
To make matters more complicated, there are heat cards you’ll accumulate as you drive that you must get rid of over time if you don’t want to end up losing pace in the race. Stress cards also need to be managed because they can impact how well you drive, and everything can change very quickly when you’re driving this fast in a board game.
You get to compete across a few races in each game, and you can even play solo. It feels like a classic board game and managing the slowly building complexities of track conditions, heat, stress, and gears perfectly replicates how I feel when I drive and it’s raining a little too hard, making for a fantastic board game night.
Heat: Heavy Rain: $34.99/$27.99 on Amazon
Heat: Heavy Rain adds two new tracks to the game that offer unique challenges, even for those who’ve played the heck out of it. A tricky Japanese track brings your wettest nightmares to life, while a Mexican track will push your skills to their absolute limits.
3. Pandemic

- Price on Amazon:
$39.99/$31.49 - Players: 2-4
- Playtime: 45 minutes
I love Pandemic. While it might feel a little too real for some people, it’s a great board game because it’s about working together to save humanity rather than destroy each other. Each character has various strengths, and it’s up to you to strategize and use those to halt outbreaks as they crop up. This prevents the world from spiraling into a true pandemic.
It’s a pretty simple game to learn and fantastic for families. It’s also a good game for showcasing the elements that can take place outside of the board, opening up avenues to bigger and better board games in the future.
2. Mysterium

- Price on Amazon:
$54.99/$32.99 - Players: 2-7
- Playtime: 42 minutes
Mysterium throws you into a cooperative paranormal adventure in which you must work with other players to uncover the mysteries around you. The name of the game is solving cryptic puzzles with clues and keen intuition.
With stunning artwork and a variable difficulty system that makes for a vast amount of replayability, this is the spooky ghost investigation game of your dreams. It’s got a short playtime, too, which is perfect for anyone who wants to be able to finish a playthrough in an evening and revisit later on.
1. Exploding Kittens Party Pack

- Price on Amazon:
$29.99/$24.99 - Players: 2-10
- Playtime: 15 minutes
Exploding Kittens is a fast-paced and ridiculous card game that’s always fun to play. I play this one with my nephews and kids a lot because it’s easy to learn, quick, and replayable until the end of time.
You are essentially playing with a deck of cat-based cards until everyone has been eliminated by some sort of exploding feline. You use zany cards to keep yourself alive and push others ever-closer to death.
The Party Pack includes the base game and an expanded selection of cards to make it possible to play with almost everybody in your entire family. Get ready to say goodbye to a few close ties as you annihilate them with furry explosions.
