Kalos offers some truly impressive Pokemon in its lineup, and one that has stolen hearts with its adorable design is Amaura, the Ice/Rock-type Amaura. However, Pokemon Legends: ZA players won’t find this revived fossil roaming the Wild Zones.

How to Get Amaura in Pokemon Legends: ZA

To get Amaura in Pokemon Legends: ZA, players will need to purchase a Sail Fossil from the Stone Emporium and take it to the Pokemon Research Lab.

A Sail Fossil will cost 20,000, or players can get an Amaura for free by completing the quest “Restored from a Fossil”.

After giving the fossil to the researchers on the second floor of the Research Lab, they will give the player an Amaura at Level 20.

Aurorus

Amaura evolved into Aurorus after reaching Level 39 at night. This Pokemon takes some dedication to raise, as it won’t be the biggest asset on a team until after it evolves. Despite this, it is one of very few Ice-types in Legends: ZA, and those looking for Ice-Type moves will want to put in the time to raise it.

What is Amaura Weak Against

Amaura is an Ice/Rock-type. This means it is weak against Fighting and Steel by x4 and Water, Grass, Ground, and Rock by x2.

This is the big setback to running Amaura and Aurorus in a team, as it can take some pretty serious damage from popular options like Lucario or Garchomp.

Despite this, it resists Normal, Ice, Poison, and Flying, which can be handy in many of the match-ups for battles in Legends: ZA.

Is Amaura Worth It in Pokemon Legends: ZA?

If a trainer is trying to pick between Tyrunt and Amaura, Tyrunt is the better option as it has fewer weaknesses and can learn a wider array of moves.

However, there are a number of strong Dragon and Rock-type Pokemon in Pokemon Legends: ZA, which does give Amaura’s Ice-typing an edge in this particularly game.
