How to Get the Romance Ending with Luke Nukem
Luke Nukem is a hard-core space ranger who is constantly in a feud with what he calls “swarmers.” The sure-fire way to win him over is to play along with his antics, match his energy, and show a bit of empathy along the way.
First Encounter
- Choose “Yep, limbs are stuck on tight.”
- “Free Yourself”
- “Wonderful, I love making new friends.”
- Salute
- “What kind of solutions?”
- “Care to elaborate?”
- “Oh they did, but I’m very resilient.”
- Exactly! Tell me more.
- Choose the option that complements his voice.
- “When?”
- “So you’re going to die?”
- “So like a date?”
Meet Luke the following day in morning.
Second Encounter
Luke will forget that you agreed to meet him the next morning, and will accost you with high energy and high amounts of powercrank.
- “Make me!”
- “I have the same problem.”
- “But it’s me, Roger–I mean, Ranger!”
- “You really think they’re pretty?”
- “Sounds terrifying.”
- “Would you let me in there?”
- “I’d like that.”
- “Yes, sir!”
Agree to meet Luke the next day in the morning.
Third Encounter
You’ll find Luke doing some impressive workouts to get some gains before your mission.
- I’m very impressed.
- I kinda like it.
- Yep!
- Oh, I’d love that.
- We’ll talk about this later… soldier.
After reaching into his chassis, you’ll discover that the magnetron is just a plain old microwave part used to heat up food, and not a thermonuclear bomb. This discovery will make him angry and lash out.
It’s unclear if any other option will calm him down, and he’ll demand that you leave, and he never wants to see you again.
Fourth encounter
When you interact with Luke the fourth time, he’ll be confused as to why you’re here. Choose any of the first options you’d like until he starts spilling the truth.
- But why lie, Luke?
- Actually, I kinda do.
- You still can, Luke!
- You’ve got literal radiation coursing through you. How cool is that?
- Hell yeah!
- Exactly!
- What do you think about us?
- This will trigger either the Friends or Love ending for Luke Nukem if you followed the guidelines this far.
How to Get the Friends Ending with Luke Nukem
Complete all the steps above, but select the friends option in his dialogue instead of the love option.
How to Get the Hate Ending with Luke Nukem
To get a hate ending with Luke, don’t go along with his story, or ask him to make chicken strips. This will upset him immediately and lead him to end any further adventures with you.
