Ludology now 2026
Still replaying Red Dead Redemption II, not too much to report. After a few weeks I did finally confront Thomas Downes, rescue Micah, and progress the story past the point of ultimate safety. Now it’s a tenuous tight-rope I walk in Rhodes, wondering which story mission will lead to one gang member’s untimely death. I think I’m edging up on it now, so a-hunting we have gone.
In terms of new releases, I’m far behind. My day-to-day work in local news has kept me unfortunately busy and drained, and (as of the time I write this) world events make me uncertain of the future or how to appropriately present my thoughts to the public.
I wanted to take this time to look over some of the big releases coming next year – notably, for me, 007: First Light and Grand Theft Auto VI and, likely, at least one more game I am forgetting. Those are the big two, though, for me.
Not off to the best start, though, are we? I wonder how many well-known game developers live in Latin America.
Everyone go back to work and we’ll try again next week. Call this one a mulligan.
