Finding the right wireless keyboard for use on the go can be a struggle. It’s easy to go too cheap and end up with one that doesn’t connect well or to pay too much for something that has more features or a bigger footprint than is needed. The Keychron B1 Pro wireless keyboard sidesteps these issues, presenting a sleek and efficient design for an accessible price.
The Keychron B1 Pro is a sleek wireless keyboard. It is small enough to fit in a large purse, but with a typing experience not normally found on portable keyboards. It’s a gem of a find, and the details of this non-obtrusive accessory make it shine.

Finger Fitted Keys and Silicon Cover For Comfort

The Keychron B1 Pro combines simplicity with style. The key layout is compact, but not cramped. They have a nice height, so the press when typing feels satisfying. Additionally, the connection details are displayed on the top-right corner of the board, allowing for easy confirmation that it is communicating with the targeted device.
What really caught my attention when I first sat down to use the B1 Pro, however, were the actual keys. Each one has a slight indentation perfect for your fingertip to press into.
While this might not seem like a big detail, those who use mechanical keyboards can attest that switching back to flat keys can be an unpleasant experience. These little dips offer better grip, and ensure more accuracy when typing quickly. I absolutely love it and haven’t seen any other wireless, portable keyboards that offer a similar design.
Additionally, the B1 Pro comes with a silicon key cover. While I don’t like typing on it, I love to use it as a key protectant when traveling and will throw it on over the keys if I have a snack close by while typing. The fact that it is included as a base item with this keyboard is fantastic, and a huge shoutout to Keychron for thinking of supplying such a useful accessory.
Battery Life That Doesn’t Disappoint

What makes this keyboard perfect for students or traveling typists, is its battery life. This keyboard can go forever. I haven’t had to recharge it yet and my partner and I have been using it regularly for weeks.
For me, a good battery in wireless products is a must. As someone who travels often, and frequently finds themself in places without easy access to a charging station, knowing the keyboard is going to hold out makes it a must-have item for me.
A Lack of Carry Case is a Bummer
For the price, it isn’t surprising the Keychron B1 Pro doesn’t come with a carry case, but I sure wish it did. I’ve used many styles of wireless and Bluetooth keyboards with my iPad Pro 12.2 inch over the years. One of my favorite designs allowed the keyboard to become a cover when not in use. It didn’t have the best keys, but it got the job done and multitasked well.
The quality of the B1 Pro is leagues above that old cover keyboard, but taking it places without a proper storage option is a bummer. The leading cause of death to Bluetooth keyboards is damage while in transit, and throwing it in a backpack or laptop bag feels like a risky move.
If you choose to pick this keyboard up, think about grabbing a sleeve for it, to make sure the keys don’t get damaged or discolored while taking it on the go.
Final Score – 8.5/10
The Keychron B1 Pro wireless keyboard is a lovely blend of important features and useability. This is the every-person tablet keyboard perfect for businesspeople, students, casual gamers, or a typist eager to set up outside of the usual office location.
I would highly recommend this keyboard to those looking for a quality option at an affordable price, and can’t overstate enough how the key comfort and battery life make this more than worth the price. It’s a great typing experience, and even without a custom case for transport, it is my go-to option when I pack up my kit to leave the house.
