Plant Fiber can be obtained without tools and is readily available right from the start of the game. You will want to be sure to grab a good amount of it in order to craft a basic set of tools.
Where to Find Plant Fiber in Hytale
To get plant fiber in Hytale, you will need to hit leafy green shrubs with your hands or a basic tool. These shrubs can be found in most biomes, though they are particularly dense in open plains areas.
The shrubs will break with a punch or can be crushed by felled trees. We recommend using the punch method when first getting started, as punching trees without a hatchet is a long and tedious process. Once you have some fiber, craft an axe from your inventory menu.
To grind large amounts of fiber, look for trees that have leafy green shrubs underneath them. Knock the tree down to crush the shrubs. This will allow you to grind plant fiber with wood and sticks.
Plant Fiber Uses in Hytale
Plant fiber is used in most tool crafting recipes in Hytale. Anything that requires a tether or rope will likely need plant fiber as well. Currently, we have used it in recipes for early tools and building materials.
The most important early recipes that use plant fiber are the crude hatchet, crude pickaxe, and crude sword.
Plant fiber can’t be eaten. It is only good for crafting. When not in use, you can store it in chests. This will ensure you have plenty on hand when you need to get crafting in Hytale.
