Players around the world have been watching the teasers and spoilers for Riftbound on social media and via news publications for months. The new card game by Riot reimagines the world of League of Legends, putting the power of favorite heroes in decks designed to test the skills of every player. Now, it has been announced that English audiences will be able to join the fray on Halloween this year.
The first set to launch for English audiences will be Riftbound: Origins. This set is designed to help players create a foundation for deck building and offer an introduction to rules and mechanics. As we talked about in our hands-on preview, this is a challenging and exciting type of tabletop game that will test even the best strategists.
When Does Riftbound: Origins Release in the US?
The Riftbound: Origins expansion will release to English-speaking audiences on October 31, 2025. This release includes North America, EMEA, LATAM, and Oceania.
On August 4, a limited number of pre-orders will be available on the Riot Games shop. After this, players will need to connect with local game stores. Riot has announced a Store Locator tool, which will also be available on August 4. Please note that neither of these links will be live until the date provided.
Those looking to jump into Riftbound will be able to purchase the following sets:
- Origins: Proving Grounds
- Origins: Champion Decks
- Origins: Booster Packs
- Origins: Booster Box

Booster boxes come with a total of 24 packs, and Champion Decks will spotlight Viktor, Jinx, Lee Sin.
The Proving Grounds kit will allow between two and four players to battle it out with decks designed to teach the rules of the game. This collection is designed to prep players for the more complex pre-constructed decks, or prime them for personalized deck building.
The future of Riftbound is looking to be an exciting and fast-paced speedway of epic battles. With the first expansion arriving on Halloween, League of Legends and tabletop fans will have the perfect way to pass the time this winter while making new friends.
