Somehow, we are already a month into 2026. And while book publishing doesn’t tend go into full-speed mode until summer reading season, February is a pretty exciting month for romance readers. After all, it’s the month of Valentine’s Day, and that means many of us are thinking about love stories.
This February has quite a range of new books on offer, and it certainly feels less romance-heavy than January was. That’s not to say there aren’t a few new love stories to sink into, but we’ve also got some cozy reads and more on this month’s most anticipated list. So if you’re looking for a new book to wait out the winter, here are the most exciting new book releases of February 2026.
The Vanishing Cherry Blossom Bookshop by Takuya Asakura, Translated by Yuka Maeno

- Release Date: February 3rd
- Price: $19 on Amazon
- Publisher: Harper Collins
- ARC Received: No
Books in translation are becoming a lot more common and mainstream in the last few years, and I am here for it. This is pitched to fans of books like Before the Coffee Gets Cold and What You Are Looking For Is In The Library. I haven’t read those, specifically, but I know the general vibe is a sort of slow, cozy pace that sneaks in big emotional heft and will have you crying. And that, I can definitely sign on for.
The Vanishing Cherry Blossom Bookshop brings readers to a special bookshop that only appears during cherry blossom season, where souls gather for solace and healing. It takes place over four seasons at the bookshop, following different visitors on their journeys. If I know this kind of book like I think I do, there will be tears.
The End of Romance by Lily Meyer

- Release Date: February 3rd
- Price: $29 on Amazon
- Publisher: Viking Penguin
- ARC Received: Yes
I love the idea of putting out a book called The End of Romance in February, and this one sounds like it’ll be a great read. It follows Sylvie, who struggles to escape an abusive marriage and reclaim her life. After the trauma of her marriage, she swears off romance for good. Who among us hasn’t been there at least once?
As Sylvie tries to maintain a distance between physical and emotional intimacy, she meets a few men who challenge her notions of anti-romance. It’s billed as a funny “anti-romance novel,” and I am certainly looking forward to seeing what this one has to offer.
Love Me Tomorrow by Emiko Jean

- Release Date: February 3rd
- Price: $20 on Amazon
- Publisher: Simon & Schuster
- ARC Received: Yes
If there’s one thing that always catches my eye with a new book release, it’s an interesting premise. And Love Me Tomorrow definitely delivers there. In this book, 17-year-old Emma makes a wish for proof that love exists. Then, she starts getting letters from someone who claims to be her true love, writing from the future.
As the notes continue, she slowly begins to believe they must be real. And that leads her on a journey to try and figure out just who her future love is, writing her these letters. And it’s a YA rom-com, so naturally, we have options. And one of them is the boy next door, so if you know me, you know who I’m rooting for. This sounds both cute and a little bit magical, which is my kind of love story.
I’m Looking for a Man in Finance by Sabrina Waldorf

- Release Date: February 10th
- Price: $20 on Amazon
- Publisher: Alcove Press
- ARC Received: No
Did this book mostly catch my eye because of the title’s brilliant use of the viral song? Yes. Does it feature a man in finance who is 6’5″, blue eyes? Also yes. Respect for the meme. But the overall premise also sounds fun, as it centers on a journalist trying to date a guy on Wall Street for an assignment.
Hallie doesn’t go for finance bros, but she reluctantly tries to find one for her article. But the aforementioned tall, blue-eyed man in finance, James, is on to her, and he’s out to sabotage her plans. Of course, this is a romance novel, so I’m sure you can imagine what happens next. I am 100% going to have to pick this one up.
