Garnets are a common gemstone in Disney Dreamlight Valley that become available shortly after starting your journey in the Valley. While they aren’t particularly valuable, they are needed in multiple character quests. Garnets in DDV can also be used in a few specific crafting recipes.
Where to Mine Garnets in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Garnets in DDV can be mined in The Plaza and Peaceful Meadows of the main map, and The Plains and The Wastes of A Rift in Time.
The Plaza and the Peaceful Meadows are the first two areas you will access when starting in Disney Dreamlight Valley, and they offer a decent number of ore mining nodes despite the fairly small size of each location. This makes mining Garnets and Shiny Garnets less of a struggle.
Garnets can be purchased from Aladdin’s shop for 190 Star Coins, but it is best to mine these instead of spending money on them.
Garnets in DDV can be sold for 160 Star Coins, making them an unprofitable gemstone after early game.
Where to Mine Shiny Garnets in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Shiny Garnets in DDV will spawn wherever Garnets can be mined. They are a rare drop variant of standard Garnets with a higher sale value. However, they can’t be substituted for regular Garnet requirements in quests or crafting recipes.
Shiny Garnets can be purchased from Aladdin’s shop for 770 Star Coins, and they can be sold for 640 Star Coins. They can also be a valuable gift item for villagers who like gemstones.
