All Additional Guides For Cozy Caravan

Cozy Caravan Basic Gameplay Overview

Cozy Caravan released in Early Access on PC for Steam in May 2024, with the full 1.0 release on January 8th, 2026. The overall gameplay of Cozy Caravan involves exploring your world while doing favors for the locals. You’ve become a Guild Rookie, and your job is to spread love to the community in exchange for Guild Tokens. These coins will help you upgrade your caravan to unlock new features, like the ability to cook or change your caravan’s color scheme.

What Platforms is Cozy Caravan On?

Cozy Caravan is available on PC via Steam, Nintendo Switch, and Apple Arcade. It runs on Switch 2 via backwards compatibility with no issues, as well.

Can You Use Controllers?

Yes, you can and should use a controller with Cozy Caravan. When you first boot up the game, it’ll suggest you use a controller.

My gameplay experience highlights that certain mechanics, like driving the caravan and cooking, are best on a controller. That said, the development team has continued to improve mouse responsiveness in the game.

I’ve been using a DualSense controller, but the game should work just fine with any Steam-compatible controller.

Is Cozy Caravan Safe for Kids?

Cozy Caravan is kid-friendly in terms of themes. You’re mainly helping out fellow critters and gathering crops to sell at the market, so there isn’t anything scary or too mature that I’ve come across.

I will say the controls are pretty immersive, particularly for cooking. The game would likely be frustrating for small hands or anyone not adept at using multiple buttons/joysticks on the controller at once.

How Long is Cozy Caravan?

Now that Cozy Caravan is available in its full 1.0 form, we’re playing through the new content to give you an idea of how long the game is.

In Early Access, it took me about 7 hours of gameplay to work through all the longer-term story quests prior to the 0.2.0 update. But a lot has been added since then! Like many cozy games, you can theoretically play in an infinite loop, collecting crops and crafting recipes for the market.

Is Cozy Caravan on Microsoft Game Pass?

No, Cozy Caravan is not currently on Microsoft Game Pass or on Xbox consoles. It is available for PC via Steam, Apple Arcade, and Nintendo Switch (as of January 15th, 2026).

Is Cozy Caravan Steam Deck Compatible?

Yes, you can play Cozy Caravan on the Steam Deck. Early reviews on Steam note that the game plays well on the system.

Does Cozy Caravan Have Multiplayer?

No, Cozy Caravan does not have a multiplayer mode at this time – it’s a solo cozy gaming experience. The developers have said that there are no plans to add multiplayer in their current vision for the game.

Getting Started with Cozy Caravan

When you first begin the game, you wake up and start your first day as a new Guild Rookie. You’ll need to do a few tasks for your neighbors before you unlock the use of your caravan. That means you’re pretty limited to a small area at first, and also that you’ll need to play through the first 15-20 minutes before the first autosave, since saving tends to be linked to getting on and off your caravan or entering new areas of the map.

TIP: A little white icon of an animal carrying an apple or rotating guild coin pops up at the bottom right of the screen during autosaves. There is no save option in the game, so make sure you head into your caravan to trigger autosave before quitting your game.

Early in-game tasks will teach you basics like how to lift and drop items and how to harvest crops to help out local farmers. You’ll also learn that you can wave at people and earn hearts without the need to engage everyone in chitchat, something I absolutely love about the game.

As you wander around and talk to people, they will clearly point you to who is looking for help. Using the signs around Fellowood Acres, you can pretty easily find the farmer who needs help with carrots, lettuce, and so on. After you help everyone in Fellowood Acres, you’ll find your caravan ready to go. That’s when the real gameplay loop begins.

From here, you’ll learn how to sell food at the market and how to drive your caravan. Your next step will be to help enough locals earn Guild Tokens so you can upgrade your caravan and pass inspection with the Guild Inspector. This is more or less how the game will progress from that point – talk to everyone, figure out who needs help, and help them to earn hearts.

TIP: You can flip over postcards on the world map to get hints about your current quests & tasks! Each postcard points to roughly the area on the map where that task can be completed.

On the weekends, you’ll want to drive to nice central spaces in town to set up the weekly market – you can find these areas in Fellowood, Basselbrook, Hershey’s Homestead, and Stoniebridge. Make sure you’ve gathered produce and prepared foods to sell so you can have a successful market!

TIP: There’s a fortune-telling owl who sets up at various points on the map. If you find and speak with them before market, they will foretell one crop/item that will be especially successful at market. You’ll get bonus hearts for selling the item that week, so stock up!

How to Unlock Cooking & Get New Recipes in Cozy Caravan

Cooking is one of the most satisfying mechanics in Cozy Caravan, in my opinion, because you really get to interact with each ingredient as you prepare it with the little chopping and stirring minigames. However, you’ll need to unlock cooking by upgrading your caravan. You can do this in Basselbrook by purchasing a Cooking Table and Oven upgrade from the Guild Rep. Arthur.

After you buy the Cooking Table upgrade, Guild Rep. Arthur will teach you the first recipe – salad. From then on, you’ll unlock new recipes by completing quests and talking to different people around town. Some will require upgrades to the Cooking Table or Oven, so you’ll need to keep collecting Guild Tokens to make all of your new recipes.

TIP: You can only cook using ingredients that are in your backpack, so check the recipe book and grab everything you need from the inventory chest before you go to the cooking station. The chest inside your caravan will have everything you placed in the one outside it, so no need to head back outside!

Can You Disable the Cooking Mini-Games in Cozy Caravan?

Yes, if the cooking mini-games are challenging for you, or if you just don’t like them, you can disable them. Simply open up the main menu, then go to the Settings option (the gear icon).

Turn off Cooking Mini-Games Cozy Caravan

From there, go to Accessibility, then toggle Auto Craft on. This will skip the mini-game and automatically craft recipes for you.

Recurring Mini-Quests to Earn Hearts for Guild Tokens

While there are a few longer quests you can pursue to earn many hearts in Cozy Caravan, the map is also dotted with a few repeating tasks you can take on every day. These tasks appear in different locations as you explore, but there are some telltale signs that let you know you can hop off your caravan and do a good deed. This is an easy way to get some quick progress towards your next Guild Token without running around the map.

You can also easily earn hearts by waving at everyone you see. A few times a day, if you pet Rigby the bee, he will wag his tail and give you a healthy dose of hearts as well!

Roaming Bees (Outside Buzzington Hills)

Any time you spot tiny buzzing bees roaming around, you can bet you’ll find Bogart the frog standing nearby. He walks Winston’s little bees for him, but he’s terrible at keeping track of those fuzzy little bees. If you chase all three bees back to Bogart, and then talk to him, you’ll earn some nice progress without too much effort.

The bees can spawn in many different locations around the map. This is a different, unrelated bee-hearding quest compared to the one at Buzzington Hills, which is linked to a quest to fix the gate.

Random Hay Piles

Dill loves to climb, only they sometimes wind up too high to get back down without help. If you spot random piles of hay dotting an area, look up. Somewhere nearby, Dill will be sitting atop a building or similar high place. Pick up the hay piles and take them to the spot directly below Dill until you fill the outline. Then, Dill can jump down with many thanks (and hearts for your Guild Token progress).

Hop-Scotch Course

As you explore, you’ll see a young fox who likes to set up hopscotch games all around town. If you play this minigame with her, you’ll earn some hearts. The mini-game is pretty easy and oddly soothing, so it’s worth a go if you’re close to that next caravan upgrade.

Skipping Rocks

Near the river in many places, you’ll see little piers. Sometimes, you’ll find a raccoon at these piers, skipping rocks. If you talk to him and partake in the rock-skipping mini-game, you’ll earn hearts when you’re done. This game is also pretty soothing and straightforward, so I try to spend a bit of time on it when I run across the opportunity and need to make progress to my next Guild Token.

Bring Flossy Back to Work

This is the repeating quest that takes the most time, in my experience. Flossy works at a shop in Basselbrook, but they’re constantly getting distracted while doing tasks for their boss. If you spot them standing around (often near Fellowood or Wheatly Lodge), they’ll ask you for a ride back to Basselbrook. Finding them is very easy because everyone you speak to near Basselbrook or Fellwood will let you know where they are.

Returning Flossy to their job gets you plenty of hearts and even occasional item rewards, but it is often a time-consuming drive across the map, so it’s not the most efficient recurring task. It is, however, a great way to kill time before the next market.

Returning Overdue Library Books

At Whispering Falls, you’ll see a little library stall setup. Yas the librarian will remark about overdue books and request your help retrieving them. She’ll tell you who has the overdue book (usually either Winston at Buzzington Hills or Flossy’s boss in Basselbrook). Talk to them and they’ll give you the book, which you can bring back to Yas for some hearts.

Picking Up Hitchhikers

As you drive around, you’ll run across folks standing around holding cardboard signs. They’re looking for a ride to somewhere around Harvestvale! Talk to them and let them hop aboard to earn plenty of hearts for dropping them by their desired destination.

TIP: The map will outline a path to help you figure out the best way to go to take your hitchhiker where they need to be.

Rummage’s Trash Can

Rummage Trash Racoon Cozy Caravan

When you spot Rummage standing by his trash can, you can bet there will be a cleanup needed nearby. Pick up trash, and toss in any you’ve had in your inventory from other quests, to earn a few hearts. Talking to Rummage will give you a hint for how much more trash is in the area before you’ll earn the full amount of available hearts.

Waiting Tables (Dairy Me, Basselbrook Drink Bar, and Occie’s Gnocchi)

At various restaurant areas, you’ll see a giant bell near the bar. These locations include Dairy Me, the bar in Basselbrook, and Occie’s Gnocchi. Any location with the red bell at the counter will let you help out serving drinks and food to customers, earning hearts along the way.

Just interact with the bell and fill the orders until closing time, then clean up at the end. You’ll earn plenty of hearts towards your next Guild Token when you do!

Where to Find All of Mr. Jumpy’s Froglets In Cozy Caravan

As you explore Harvestvale, you’ll find small frogs who ask for help getting back home to their father. Mr. Jumpy the giant frog is located in Croaker’s Gully, and that’s where you’ll want to take your little froggy friends. You can have more than one froglet riding your caravan at any point in time, so feel free to keep them around for the cute factor for a bit.

Once you drop off your first froglet, you’ll learn that Mr. Jumpy has 20 little froglets and has misplaced all of them.

You’ll need to explore the map to find the rest of Mr. Jumpy’s kiddos and bring them safely home. They generally hide in corners of areas that you can only reach on foot, so be sure to thoroughly explore all new areas as you come to them. Here are all known locations of Mr. Jumpy’s froglets thus far.

Where to Find the Dig Spots for Jimothy’s Treasure Hunt

When you visit Hershey’s Homestead, you’ll find an eager young badger named Jimothy. He’s excited to find some treasure, and he wants your help! Jimothy will ask you to take him to Buzzington Hills to track down the first clue.

In each new area, you’ll need to dig up “dig spots” in the area, and it can be a little tricky to find them. The dig piles don’t always spawn in the exact same location, but they’ll always be in the same general areas.

Here is where I was able to find the dig piles for each step in this multi-location quest.

Location 1: Buzzington Hills

There are three dig spots at the Buzzington Hills. The first usually spawns right beside Jimothy. The second is behind the fence, near the beekeeper Winston T. Plum. The third and final dig spot is furthest away, down a little path towards a cottage.

Once you dig up all three spots, see Jimothy and he’ll ask you to speak with Winston T. Plum for a hint. His hint will clearly direct you to Croaker’s Gully. Speak to Jimothy again and he’ll hop on your caravan for a ride to the Gully.

Location 2: Croaker’s Gully

After realizing there’s no treasure, only trash, at Buzzington Hills, Jimothy asks you to take him over to the marsh to track down another clue. Here, you’ll once again help Jimothy dig, with three total spots to check.

The first spot is near where Jimothy stands. The second is over towards the little pond where you found one of Mr. Jumpy’s froglings. A third dig spot can be found down the stairs towards the beach (the opposite direction of where you’ll find Mr. Jumpy).

Once you find all three spots, see Jimothy. He’ll remark that you should ask Mr. Jumpy for a hint. The frog will give you another riddle that points towards Toffee Top Orchards. Speak with Jimothy when you’re ready to carry on and he’ll hop aboard for a ride to the third and final stop.

Location 3: Toffee Top Orchards

The pattern at Toffee Top Orchards is much the same, with three dig piles to find. The first will be easy to spot out front, while the other two are down by the water behind the patio where everyone is enjoying their apple pie (one far to the left, the other far to the right).

Once you dig all three spots, you’ll speak with Caramel Apple about the treasure. She will point you back to the original quest master himself, Mr. Hershey.

Final Location: Mr. Hershey’s House

Talk with Jimothy again and he’ll hop on your Caravan to go see Mr. Hershey. If the name isn’t enough of a giveaway, you’ll find him at Hershey’s Homestead, at a house just down the path to the right.

Speak with him and he’ll admit to Jimothy that the real treasure was the friends we made along the way. You’ll earn lots of hearts for helping Jimothy, and your days of digging up trash all over the map will come to an end.

Note: Wondering what to do with all that garbage? Look for Rummage the Raccoon, who roams around Harvestvale with his trusty trash can. Dump your trash in there and pick up additional rubbish to earn plenty of hearts.

How to Make Grandma Dolly’s Stew

NOTE: As of the 1.0 update, I have yet to see this NPC at Hershey’s Homestead. I am not sure if the quest has been removed or just delayed to later in game. I am leaving this here for now. But, it may not be fully up-to-date as this quest may have been removed.

One of the longer quests in Cozy Caravan thus far involves helping Ellie the cat recreate her grandma’s beloved stew recipe. There are some secret ingredients, and you’ll need to ask around to figure them out.

This quest can be tricky because you won’t be able to find at least one of the secret ingredients until you speak to all three of the hint-givers. You’ll need to walk around the area of Hershey’s Homestead and nearby locations, talking to everyone you see. Many of them will remark about the stew but say they’re not good at cooking. However, three key individuals will tell you the secret ingredients – a tomato from Berry’s tomato patch, sugar cane from Sweetness Way, and an herb from near Treetop Orchard.

The critters you need to speak with are all in the Hershey’s Homestead general area. One is an Otter hanging out near the fence, the second is a ram named Dazza, and the third is Winnie, who works in the onion patch. Each of them will only give you their clue once before defaulting to the standard “I wouldn’t know anything about that” response.

If you get stuck at any point, try talking to Ellie in Hershey’s Homestead again. Thanks to a recent update, Ellie will now be more helpful about this quest and you can easily get notes on where you’re supposed to go from the Hershey’s Homestead postcard on the map.

You’ll know you have all three clues because your character will pop up with a speech bubble, summarizing all the clues and ingredients you need. At this point, you can speak with the people you need to and get all the items to progress in the quest.

A note about the Herb: As of the 0.2.0 update, herb is a lot easier to find around town – we haven’t checked yet to see if it’s readily available before this quest or not, so we’re leaving in the original advice for now – but you may be able to easily harvest herb near Morty’s Pumpkin Patch and Eversprouts Grove, where it now grows.

In an earlier version of the game, the herb could only be obtained by talking to Mabel, an NPC across the way from the orchard, near the community garden. They only spawn after you’ve gathered all three hints, at which point they’ll hand over the herb you need to make the stew.

Once you have the secret ingredients, speak with Ellie again, and she’ll ask you to make the stew. You’ll need the stovetop attachment for your oven to do so.

Muddle’s Cider Pop-Up Quest Guide

In Basselbrook, the bartender Muddle has an idea, and he needs your help to make it happen! He’ll bring up talking to Carmel Sundae about a possible pop-up Cider collaboration. This quest isn’t particularly confusing or difficult, but it does involve a lot of running back and forth playing messenger between the collaborators! We’ll walk you through it.

Your first stop will be to head to Treetop Orchards to talk to Carmel Sundae. She’s interested, but wants to see if Olivia in Stoniebridge will provide some baked goods for the pop-up.

Head to Stoniebridge and talk to the Axolotyl at the bakery. This is Olivia, and she’s definitely in – but wants to provide you with samples. You’ll need to give her a day to make them and come back the next day to get the samples. If you wind up taking the long way around, don’t worry – she’ll have the samples ready whenever your caravan next stops by Stoniebridge.

TIP: Don’t worry about popping the samples in your inventory if you don’t want to keep carrying them around. They’ll be just fine in there and you can tend to other business until you’re ready to hand them over to Carmel Sundae.

Once you get the samples, it’s back to Toffee Top Orchards to deliver them to Carmel Sundae. Then, you’ll get the seal of approval to return to Basselbrook and tell Muddle that the cider pop-up is a go! He tells you to stop by Toffee Top Orchards to see the pop-up in action.

When you head there, you’ll get a chance to help out serving up cider and baked goods, much like you would at Dairy Me or in Basselbrook. When you do, you’ll get some hearts as a reward. Muddle will also teach you to make Apple Cider as well.

After this point, you can stop by the Cider Pop Up occasionally to wait tables and earn hearts for your next Guild Token.

Spence’s Flour Delivery Quest Guide

Spence in Stoniebridge is wondering why he hasn’t received his latest flour delivery from the mill. He’ll ask you to stop by and check in on the delivery.

If you’re like me, you will immediately forget where Spence tells you the Windmill is located and wander around lost for a bit. Thankfully, I’m here to remind us all that the mill is located back in Fellowood in the far corner, past the carrot patch.

When you arrive at the mill, you’ll learn the reason for the delay – the mill’s wheel is broken! Oscar will ask for your Guild Rookie assistance, and you’ll need to head down to Basselbrook for a replacement cog from Gilligan.

Bring the cog back to Oscar, and you’ll get some good news – he’s going to handle the flour delivery, and better yet, he’ll sell you flour now. After you complete this quest, you’ll be able to get pre-milled flour from Oscar in Fellowood instead of needing to grind your own from wheat.

To finish out this quest, head back to let Spence know the good news, and you’ll get a ton of hearts towards your next Guild Token.

How to Move Faster / Sprint in Cozy Caravan

Run Rookie Run Upgrade Cozy Caravan
Screenshot by Bonus Action

Though going slow is part of the fun, sometimes you would like to move a bit faster. Thankfully, Guild Rep. Arthur has an upgrade for that. After you have earned enough goodwill, you will be able to purchase the Run, Rookie, Run! upgrade for 2 Guild Tokens.

This upgrade lets both you and Rigby move a bit quicker. You will need to charge your stamina by eating by the campfire (and filling Rigby’s bowl) when making camp each night. Then, you can sprint while walking around by pressing ZR on a controller. To make Rigby go faster, hold the A button on your controller while driving the Caravan.

How to Re-Sort Items in Your Backpack

When you set up for market, only the top item in your backpack stack can be placed on the table. This can be frustrating if everyone in the crowd is hoping for Sugarcane, which is three items down in the stack! Thankfully, Cozy Caravan has the ability to re-sort the order of items in your backpack.

To re-sort items, hit the R1 / right bumper on controller or holding the B button on your keyboard. This will open up a sorting menu where you can rearrange the items in your backpack so whatever you need first is on top!

How to Change Your Animal Species in Cozy Caravan

Good news, friends! If you’re struggling to choose which cute critter to be in Cozy Caravan, you can get a whole new look if you like. You’ll just need to discover the mysterious Magic Cave… of Magic, near Morty’s Pumpkin Patch.

Talk to Morty, and he’ll mention that some people say his cave is magic. Then, head just over to the left of his house, across the central square. Follow the path until you see a ring of blue mushrooms. Run around these in a circle until they all disappear. Then, the cave entrance will appear!

Go inside and talk to the Cave Ghost. They’ll offer to magically alter your appearance for 1 Guild Token. This lets you change your species if you want to try one of the new options (seal or opposom) or just fancy a switch.

How to Get Through the Mud in Cozy Caravan

Certain paths will be blocked by deep mud when you first start driving around. Bubba will let you know not to travel to these areas and your character will remark about Guild Rep. Arthur having something to help.

To get through muddy roads, you can buy the Thick Wheels item from Arthur in Basselbrook for 4 Guild Tokens. You will need to complete enough guild tasks to receive 2 letters commending your progress before the item will be available for purchase. Once you buy them, they will automatically be equipped to your caravan, and those muddy shortcuts will be yours to traverse!

How To Cross the River in Cozy Caravan

River Floaties Cozy Caravan
Screenshot by Bonus Action

The road beyond Fellowood Acres is unpassable at first, as you’ll have to ford a river. To get across, you’ll need River Floaties equipped to your caravan.

This item, which costs 5 Guild Tokens, unlocks once you buy the Thick Wheels. Save up and purchase this upgrade, and you’ll soon have access to that far corner of the map.

How to Get Past the Barricades to Reach Stoniebridge in Cozy Caravan

Stoniebridge is an area that you’ll need to unlock by completing an in-game quest to get the construction works to move – and take their barriers with them.

The road to Stoniebridge, near Buzzington Hills will initially be blocked by some barricades. Here, you will see some construction workers. Their boss will be standing on the side nearest Hershey’s Homestead, and you can speak to him. When you do, he’ll say the boys need some Apple Pie to refuel before they can finish up and let you through.

Speaking with Bob will unlock the Apple Pie recipe if you haven’t acquired it already. Gather the ingredients and make sure you have an oven upgrade for your caravan. Then, you can bake an Apple Pie.

Give Bob the Apple Pie, and he’ll have one final request – some milk to wash it down. After Bob has his milk, he’ll update you that the construction zone will be cleared up by tomorrow.

Wait for the next in-game day, and you’ll see that the barricades blocking your path to Stoniebridge are removed. We are working to confirm which other barricades, if any, are still in-game following the full release.

**This guide is still in development and will be updated as the team dives back in to replay Cozy Caravan‘s 1.0 release on Nintendo Switch**
